Who in the comment section primarily details boats? What product line works for you?

I used to detail boats for a living. We primarily used Ardex Alpha Grit to do the heavy cutting, followed by Ardex 3000 Plus to finish. It's a lot of work polishing out gel coat. The good thing is that it's very forgiving when it comes to heat. You REALLY have to try to burn it. If the boat was heavily oxidized we'd wet sand the entire thing with 1500(especially if there are a lot of scratches and scuffs, depending on if it's a solid color or clear over color/flake), then cut and polish. Non-oxidized gel coat doesn't clog up your wool pads as much.

I do one.. it's a bigger jet/party boat.. At first I was thinking.. what did i get myself into.. 😳😬 it was a struggle at first.. but i seem to have found a good combo..I have been using Oberk Supreme Cut with a Uro fiber 50/50 on a DA as a one step with decent results..

I do a few yachts, it depends on age, older ones tend to shed gel coat and I don't like coatings on them, I'll try the rupes polish next time I polish one

Chop top/classic cut with wool hybrid, reminds me of papa cut with more cut, and finish with classic polish hdo orange, like a mirror on black gelcoat.

That looks pretty cool. If you had some deeper scratches, can you wet sand gel coat? I don't know anything about gel coat. I thought the coating on the sear looked awesome. Thank you Brian
