Thank you for this video. I have a 1991 CRX HF and bought your decal . I followed your video and was a bit scared of wet sanding taillights never done in my life bought got amazing results. Another fact my 199I garnish looks just like the one you restored but the CRX was painted on original with a mold of CRX which made it easier to apply your decal without measuring. Hondas have been in my family since the 1977cvcc civic my grandpa's car then my Grandpa bought a new 1986 CRX I was 7 remember riding in the back as child getting car sick . Years later my Uncle had one he bought kept in garage for 12 years and rather buy a new car I restored her new thanks to your videos man long live the CRX and keep them on the road .

I took a razor blade and trimmed the old plastic coating off of my hatch trim. Then I covered it with some satin black vinyl. It turned out nice. I left mine on, didn't want to break the clips. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. I tried to scrape it off with a razor, but many parts are really stuck and haven’t deteriorated so it wasn’t going to be easy to remove that way. Too bad they don’t still sell these pieces.

Please do more of these, but with other cosmetic parts, especially the drivers inside door panel headliner.

I'm not sure about that particular glass cleaner, but often they have ammonia which can outgas under the decal or even chemicals to seal the surface which may cause it to fail prematurely. Stick with isopropyl alcohol or a wax and grease removal product.

Can agree with you there but Ive been told by body shop painters that that Glass cleaner is the best to use to clean surfaces do it it being ammonia free and being purely water based which is a plus

I did this and sanded the lettering flush. All 3 pieces took a while.

Never been very good at Filling and Sanding Cars but really want my CRX looking nice so getting on with it and I'm getting better at it as I go, your right though it's going to take ages

Every time I watch one of your videos I have so many regrets about my car haha. Mainly the choice of getting a del sol over a CRX

Have you ever cracked open some crx headlights and refreshed the chrome? Just saw a write up from 15 years ago using Nashua Foil Tape. Dude says it holds up

You did a great job!! On that center garnish man. I purchased one of those b.new and my crx it's same as yours-usdm. I'm wondering which type of socket you used to hook up the fog light since our harnesses did not come with the plug for the fog light. Di u get an aftermarket or oem? Please if you can tell me that would help me a lot!. Keep up the good work ,I hope one day I can meet you in person so you can see we share the same feelings for this cars..saludos!!!

The rear quarter glasses have to be pulled to install the quarter glass trim.

how would you go about removing one that has paint on it? i found one for a hatch in pull a part but it has massive splotches of matte black paint on it and i wanna try and save it

I would personally sand it off with sandpaper. And keep sanding until it’s all polished up again.

I want to do this but in a 1st gen garnish plate. Would the process be the same?

Honestly, it was a guy on Facebook in the CRX Community group. I don’t remember his name. I don’t think the file is online. I haven’t had a chance to use them yet.

Just vinyl wrap the black trim..sell the euro one.

why dont you just black vinyl wrap that trim piece?

Mainly because the black portion would be seen underneath since it’s chipping off. I may for a temporary measure.

To get that Black Trim off the Tailgate really needs to be off, if your careful then with screw driver you can pop it off clips while pushing tab in a bit so they don't break, My next nightmare is Tailgate, it sits to high on right side and it sticks out past rear quarter, where hinge bolts on the metal has pulled out so hinge raised, so annoying as tailgate decent condition

I have spare tailgate I've fitted temp, thats all rusted in bottom corners and edge seam but has really good top trim, it's like a full rubber coating over the metal, just a shame it has scrapes and cuts in the coating

you need to make longer videos with less edit, im really afraid of you get rid of making videos because the number of views of your videos really below what it deserves.

Those 2 Honda’s are ugly the best one you had was the 200 Honda Civic coupe that I don’t see around the silver one

when you are removing any decals or stickers i recommend heavily coating it in some goo gone and let it sit for 10 minutes then use the razor blade you will be able to get it off so much easier and wont leave any Residue, lube always helps 🫡
