Dude shout out to you for real, all love. Last time I used your video it was for my passenger window two months ago, now my driver one broke, replaced motor, then reset it.

Dude! You are the only person to spell out exactly how to do this! Thank you! Nobody else says to close the door to reset the motor.

Bruh you saved my life! No other video said to do this with the door closed. When I did it open, the glass went all down and was stuck . I thought I had to remove the motor but then I followed your procedure and it immediately reseted the thing. Thanks so much Jake!

I just replaced the bad window switch assembly in my 350Z and have had issues with no auto function as well as the window not dropping a little when opening the door and closing it. I'm going to give this a try and hopefully it will fix the issues. Great video.

there is (if i can remember) three “electrical parts” fuses in the interior. the fuses are located right next to where your left foot is when you are sitting in the driver seat. there is also another “electrical parts” fuses under the hood. the fuse box is right next to the battery of the car. i doubt it’s a fuse but you can check. if you are hearing a single click, that means you are getting power to the window. fosho if the reset doesn’t help, it’s the door switch. even when i did my reset, i bought the driver door switch just in case. (this sounds dumb, but make sure your window isn’t locked on your driver switch. it’s the top left button that child locks the windows from going down).

I have the same problem but on the passanger side shooulf work the same right???????

a few months ago i also bought a somewhat fair condition 2003 350z and stumbled on this video on how to do it without going to any repair shop even though i had to pay to replace both window motors. this man got a added subscriber

@@shadowforte1 also if tour seat adjustment switches arnt working all the time. Try a can of compressed air and alcohol, I think mine has some dust covering the contacts to activate the switches. Once I clean the by squirting a little in the top of the switch then stick the air nozzle in there and blow the switch out they seem to make better contact and work.

and third if your clutch is flakey look at the color of the fluid. Its supposed to be clear brake fluid, mine was coffee color, oh lord. I have been using a small syringe to draw out the old and replace with new fluid and that also has helped. other than that I have driven it 20K miles and have not replaced anything, I dont think the original owner replaced anything from the service records so a 20 year old 350z is a great car to own.

there should be two bolts. just be careful not to break the plastic tho! these old cars are always missing bolts and screws, all good brotha ✊🏽

if it goes down a little bit, then you probably didn’t do the reset properly. if it’s not going down at all, then it could be the switch.

Would this fix my issue with my window ? Whenever I use the auto click my window falls straight down and when I use it again (the automatic function) it doesn’t go up at all, it only goes up by using the manual function

yup it should reset that lil glitch for you. usually glitchy window motors are a sign of the motor going out. but the reset should help you for right now

The so called "Reset button" is in fact just a rubber grommet covering the Timing marks. Pull the round metal cover of the faulty motor and you will see the gears and small timing circle marks

Going to try this today....... Advice.....instead of using your finger to close the door.....You could roll down the window and use the door itself to close it.

i would try the reset my guy. it’s can’t be a fuse, if it was a fuse you wouldn’t hear anything. if it was the motor, you would hear a humming. ummmmmm OH SHIIIII MAYBE THE SWITCH!! if the reset doesn’t work, FOSHO THE SWITCH

my g, i got you. just do the reset again (make sure you do it exactly). if it’s not moving and you don’t hear a sound… you might have blown a fuse. unprecedented but it could have happened.

when i say “don’t hear a sound” i mean: when you click the power window switch up or down, do you hear any humming or clicks coming from inside the door?
