Hi there, you may have answered this before. Is this your yard? If so, what is the type of grass shown at 0:14? Do you have to trim it or is it free-growing? Thanks! And thanks for the video. #HomeDepot makes it hard to get a blade replaced there.

Is that a Honda engine engine on that craftsman my Husqvarna push mower has that too?
I love this guy, I use many of his instructions to help me. He breaks down things very well and his voice is so calming.
This is the best blade replacement video I have ever seen
Wish I could give 10k likes, thanks for making this helped me finally get the blade off🎉
When tipping the mower up on it's side, make sure the carburetor is up, otherwise crankcase vent will dump oil into air filter.

@@CreamOfBeats it ain’t your fault honestly. This dude in the video should’ve explained it. It happened to me last summer and the only reason why I knew it was wrong is cause my dad yelled at me for it lol
That sandwich bag tip just changed my life
Thanks for this video! I was a little intimidated about changing my mower blade for the first time, and your video made it doable.
Hands down, the best instructional video on KZread.
Good video with no annoying music to go with it ! Well Done !
Thank you very much. Made all the mistakes mentioned. Will teach these points on to my son as well
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzread.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
Guys here's an extra precaution tip that I hear many others mention! When tilting your lawn mower to the side PLEASE make sure the carb and air filter are facing UP if you don't do this the oil could potentially run into the carburetor and the air filter and both items would need to be cleaned or possibly replaced! So please do this for safety and prevention of extra work! Hope was helpful :)
This was excellent. Using vice grips or a clamp was a game changer. Thank you!
Nice video, good info, Only additional information I could recommend is the tilt the mower so the carburetor is up, on some models to crank case oil can work its way through the carburetor and onto the driveway

Very kind of you to say. Thank you.
Your video is so easy to follow. Very clear details. Never thought I would be changing the blade's by myself. Now I also know the easiest way to clean all the dried caked up grass underneath. Thank you very much.
Thank you for this excellent video. It was direct, simple, and complete. I know what kind of attention it takes to make it so clean. Again much thanks!
Very well done video. I really liked that simple idea using a piece of wood to block the blade. I needed less than 3 minutes. Thank you
Great and clear presentation. When tipping over the mower, what about the filter?
Straight forward no fluff. PERFECT.
This is the best video I have watched for this particular task!!
Only thing I would say is the blade bolt should be tightened to spec. Only way to do this is with a torque wrench. If you just put elbow grease into it, this will keep it from falling off, but it might be too tight and hinder motor performance. Typically bolts in this style of mower need to be tightened to between 40 and 50 ft/lbs. Your manual should have the exact spec in it.
This video was exceptionally informative 👍 Thank you for the knowledge you shared!
Awesome and simple- thank you!
Thank you for making this video. I did not know anything about lawnmowers, however I successfully changed the blade after your explanations. Thank you very much.
I like that you explained WHY to do certain steps, like removing the spark plug boot. Thanks!
Excellent teacher
Best video I’ve seen on this. So many helpful tips on not making a mess
Excellently demonstrated & narrated!!!
another good video. i used to bring blades in but its actually relaxing to sharpen by hand if you have a couple good tools (sharp pal , any tool at 30 degrees). the key is to follow the angle . If you mow often swap out blades after 10-12 cuts, makes a difference . Torque wrench , even a cheap one , is nice because it gives you leverage
Thank you so much! Perfect explanation.
Great tips , I always remember to say or do " sharp side faces up in the deck" regarding when putting the blade back on .

You’re giving people, myself included, a whole lot of confidence. We have questions, and you are answering them! Thank you.
Enjoyed watching and learning from your videos. I have also learned, keeping your exhaust on top when you roll the mower keep oil out of the muffler. Would give you a double thumbs up if available for many of your videos.

Wood blocks can actually damage the angle of the mower blades because they bite into the wood and can warp as you apply force to loosen the bolt. The vice grips are a great idea. I have an atlas blade removal tool that cost about $10 that is the same concept.
Great video and tips

Excellent video. I normally change the blade at the start of the season. The lawn mower has no gas in it (store it over winter that way). I remove the oil first (since i replace the oil at the start of the season); replace the blade, add oil and gas and start the fun. That way i don't worry about gas or oil spillage.
Thank you!
Love your channel!

Thanks for potentially saving my life! That one tip about the spark plug...wow.
Great video. Good trick with plastic bag for fuel. I always run the mower out of gas completely before changing the blade and oil but the bag idea is smart
