How to Replace Thermostat Assembly Kit and Water Pump
on Audi A6:
(C7) 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018
(C8) 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
Tested the Engine Temperature Control Actuator and determined it was faulty. Since it was part of the Thermostat Assembly, I replaced both Thermostat and Water Pump

Excellent video. Only thing to call out is when removing the battery cable from the alternator the cable is still hot. You can’t just Willy nilly tuck it down. Need to take it to non metal. I did not and hit metal. Sparked and shorted out an electrical module which was terrible to trace.
Can i change just the thermostat and not the whole waterpump and thermostat housing? I cant find any videos to help, 2014 audi a6 2.0t
Does the water pump have to get removed , what type of tools you need for this job?

dont know where to start. Shop wants $1500, I dont have it and I dont your tools or skills. Any suggestions, I stay in NJ

Try Facebook or Craigslist for mechanics working from their home garage, they’ll usually be cheaper.

Its honestly a pain to do and prob worth paying someone to do it if u don’t have the experience
