God bless you as well!! This is a tremendous video and your attention to detail such as mentioning the O-ring and why the new filter wouldn’t fit in was excellent! Video quality and sound was also fantastic. I have a 2012 outlander with the CVT and this is virtually identical so this helped me out tremendously. Thank you 🙏

Great video for those with outlander sports/RVR/ASX as they share the lancer chasee and have the transmission filter up front as well. So many people and mechanics don't know about this filter and i fear never get changed. You need to, especially if you have a CVT!

Nice tutorial. I changed the same filter on a 2017 Outlander Sport last week. The location of the components were about the same as your car. The bottom screws holding the battery bracket are tough to get at and the last screw holding the transmission cooler next to the engine was tightened from underneath. The job got completed thanks for showing the way.

You can change the cooler filter without draining the fluid. There's a little amount of fluid in the housing which will spill out. If possible , estimate the amount of fluid and put the same amount of fluid back. After market filter is ok, as long as all the specs are the same. I hope this will help. Thank you for watching!

I'm not familiar with the outlander, but if your transmission cooler filter housing location is same as in my video... you can change it. Because the position of the filter is higher than the transmission. The only fluid that will leak is the one in the filter housing. Estimate the fluid that will come out and put the same amount back will be much better. Just to verify, I have a link for a 2016 outlander and please compare the location of the filter housing with your car. If this is not the location then it should be under the battery same with the Lancer. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gpxtlJiqgdCyf8o.htmlsi=-x46ZLTbcMOHRFt2 I hope this will help. Good luck on your project. Lolo I love your videos I have done the cvt fluid change and filter and now the Inter cooler filter. However the paper filter I received is about half cm bigger. (Yes I did make sure the gasket was off from the previous filter) I had to fit it there a little tight but I was able to close it back up with a new o ring and was able to tighten up the bolts and saw no leaks. Do you think I should be safe?
