How to Replace the Oiler Assembly on a Chainsaw
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Check your chainsaw's chain. Do you see oil? If not you probably have an oiler assembly that needs replacing.
Helpful supplies include a scrench, screwdriver, a piece of thin rope, and a (chainsaw) clutch wrench.

This is without doubt the awesomest, most coherent, & easy to follow "How to" video I've ever seen on youtube. Thanks dude! My oiler just quit on my chainsaw.
Thank you. I have 2 chain saws that need new oilers. Now I'm very confident to install them.
I had an old craftsman saw that had a manual bar oiler. you would press a button as you used it and it would pump oil onto he bar and chain as you used it. I really liked that feature. As a tool repair tech, I don't trust these automatic oilers that every saw has today. They either clog easily and/or tend to leak (especially Homelite saws). I see it far too often.
Thank you, you are a good instructor!
Marck thank you very much and congratulations again !. You do not know how useful this video was for me as I have a chainsaw Niwa 45cc and it is leaking and the chain is not oiling. So try to follow your steps, though chainsaw brand is not the same as you show here, I have already a very useful idea thanks to his teaching Marck !, You made me lose my fear disarming my machine! :). The best thing for you. Farewell, a big hello from South America!
Thanks!! I finally got my chainsaw carb adjusted and then found out the bar wasn't being oiled. This vid was dead on
Very easy to follow instructions, thanks!
I appreciate your taking the time to make this video. I will use the info to get my saw back up to par.

your video made my chainsaw repairs a lot simpler thanks for your help fr roy
Did the pickup tube come in the kit? I bought a kit with no pick up tube
First , kudos to you for making a free video to help people. it was very clear in the instruction and i did manage to remove the sprocket by binding the piston with a piece of string/rope inserted into the cylinder. however, when i tried to remove the rope but part of it is stuck in there. ugh! from everything i have read and seen im thinkin that my only option now is to take the whole engine apart to get to the piston and remove the pieces that are stuck. if there is an easier way for me to remove the pieces i hope someone will fill me in please. also i hope this will help someone else before this happens to them. thanks in advance for your help.

You can avoid this problem by turning the engine so the piston is closer to the top; and clears openings in cylinder. Your rope most probably got stuck in one of the openings.
Just the info I needed. Thanks
Great Information! Thanks for posting this video!!
Great video, very thorough. Thanks,
Very informative and excellent video to show me what needs to be done. Sure is helpfull. Thanks
Thanks for the info awesome video.
Do you have a video on how to repair a Poulan counter vibe 3400 manual oiler?
very informative, cheers dude!
Oil leaking could come from all those tubes. Saw one vid where guy applied silicone adhesive and glued tubes together.
Great video exactly what I needed
I was hoping you would show how to properly tighten the chain, but I suppose you may have a video on that.
Thanks, but where do I get the oiler assembly for a McCollugh chainsaw? I own two and they both need oiler assemblies. One leaks and the other doesn't work.

Check the Carburetor. The seals and fuel pump harden over time even when it sits as a new product. Carburetor Kits are available for most of these units.
I have a Sears Craftsman 42cc "Turbo Air Cleaning" and you guys don't seem to have the model even listed. The numeric model number is: 95 348H00618 I'm guessing it's a 1995 vintage, I would like to order just the rubber portions, but am fine with getting the entire pump assembly. Poulan makes Craftsman, do you have a cross reference number for my chainsaw? I don't want to order the wrong parts. I so very appreciate these videos, they're very helpful! Thanks!

Hi, I have researched for the Craftsman model number 95348H00618, and unfortunately have not been able to locate any information on it
forgot to clean the saw and filter
Did you notice how dirty that air filter was?
Great video. However, you certainly should be wearing gloves when dealing with the saw chain. I'm a Certified Arborist, so I work on saws 24/7/365, or so it seems! Gloves are a safety must. Again, great video.
Would've been nice to see what part was worn?
Found everything very helpfull but I would like to add Poulan needs to add dealers in Washington willing to work on them and fix them. I would have gladly paid someone to do this if I could find someone that would not call them Junk or throw away machines. Thank you
da foarte folositor multumesc
Holy cow so that's what the other side of that tool is for lol
Very easy to follow instructions, thanks!
