That is a crazy amount of effort for a heater core. Mine just went bad. Grateful that I am informed on the process. Totally dejected to see what is involved. Nice video. Thanks!

What hell were the designers of this car thinking? All that to get at a part that will fail without a doubt. Nice job boys! I bypassed my heater core to avoid a $1000 bill to have this done. I just wasn't interested in tackling this at all. 2002 Grand Cherokee 4.0L.

Great videos thanks!! But man, you skimmed over some stuff at the end lol - what did you have to do with the AC lines to make them work? I have an '02 and need to do this, but intimidated to do it by myself. How do you make sure you got every screw and connectors back? Man, I just don't know….so many steps. Thanks for making and posting it though. oh and why'd you remove all that stuff at the beginning? The battery? was it ever in your way?

I did this with an s-10... not a hard job just time consuming. 7 hours to get dash out, 2 minutes to remove heater core and install new one,7 hours to reinstall dash. Saved myself $700 in labor though!!!

That is crazy, they sure didn't want you to work on your own vehicle...make it hard to where you will take it to a dealer. Tell Jeep to kiss off, you are smarter than they think. Wonder how many hours the dealer charges to replace that one part?????

Caught my attention, was watching because I have a friend working on my 1986 camper van putting in a heater core. Sure am glad it isn't that complicated on the old vehicles. Got hooked on watching all the videos to see you get it back together. You would be surprised sometimes to see just who really enjoys different videos. You guys sure know what you are doing, enjoyed. Thanks for posting.

Every brand out there is just as bad as this job, or worse. Don't go thinking that your "new Ford" or whatever model it is is better than this old Jeep. All vehicles are built in the same fashion with the cheapest parts available! Fail is what vehicles do, and they're only getting worse. 1990s cars and trucks seem to be better quality, but have much less toys, functions and options.
