Excellent video!👍🏽
My 2010 Tundra, which looks similar, sounds like it needs bearing(s) replacement. Thanks for posting this great video, it's a good place for me to start. One comment though...a crow foot attachment (preferably the flare nut type) could access the bolt heads that hold the bearing/hub assembly on the knuckle. The correct 60ft-lbs torque probably can be applied by using the crow foot attachment (turned 90°, that is at the 3 or 9 o'clock socket position).
thanks a lot simple clear

The Lexus service manual calls for the axle threads going through the bearing to be lubed every 5,000 miles, would love to see how that is done!
Thanks for the vid!

Great video. Why not just get the entire hub assembly and just bolt it up?
I had a whining noise in my front for a year, had it checked out by multiple shops and they told me either it was the all terrain tires or that nothing was wrong. Today while driving around the hum from the front passenger size grew louder. I should have trusted my suspicion and gotten it replaced months ago.
I'm going to need to do this soon. Starting to hear a very faint squeel from the front right of my 06'...
Good video but you forgot the seal on the bearing wheel bearing wont last long without it
Thanks for the video, very informative. One question, what was the symptoms of the bearing failure?

My front passenger went bad with an audible rumble/growl from about 30-65mph. Also felt a high-frequency grainy vibration in my feet (floorboard). Interestingly, noise dd not change based on gas-on or gas-off modulation OR loading the wheel left/right (as in a turn) - that usually indicated for driven or front wheels (or both).Tech found visible/physical movement once it was up on the rack.The PITA with DIY on these is pressing the bearing on/off the hub. You really do want to have the right tool setup for that.
Is this the same for 1st gen Seqouia?
I have a GX470 with a constant noise that come from when your backing and starting off. I didn't know if you can repack the bearing or I have to buy a whole knew assembly

Is this the same as the 04' Highlander as far as the hub assembly? Also, can you do it without a press?
@HowtoAutomotive

Cj Oakman i’m not sure if it’s the same or not but I believe it is. You can do it without a press if you have a hub puller made by OTC or hub grappler made by OTC.
Where is the ABS sensor located please ?
There’s two bearing to replace right?
This video is showing a playback error. Can you check it? I really need the info for my car repairs this week.

Simmon Tam wow 1k that sucks. Hopefully everything is good now. Thank you for watching!
I know this videos old but he missed a part. Between the hub and bearing there is a metal seal with a rubber lip on it. It doesn’t come with a new bearing you have to order it separately. Very important part. I’m sure this repair didn’t last.
What size of Axle Nut Socket?

35mm
Wow that's a bearing I have never seen . Why didn't you use the press to make space to get the bolts out.
@HowtoAutomotive

The hammer is way faster than trying to set up press. And I wasn't reusing any of the parts just needed the bolts.

I would not want to pay 1800 either that sounds really high. Is there possibly an independent shop in your near you that you trust?

Don’t they make the bearing with the hub with the bolts in it to when you buy a new it makes no sense
