    In my experience, when you "work the bolt out" by turning it after it's already come free of the welded nut it damages and flattens the threads. It's much better to use a long screw driver or other pry tool to pry above the old shock and relieve the tension on the bolt so that you can simply slide it out.

    When you say torque at ride height, you mean like if you have load on it and not hanging down free? Or if you’re using a bottle jack for instance to hold the strut up, that’s when you torque it? Just trying to clarify

    For those confused with the "ride height pre-load" comment by the video, there is no such thing needed with these shocks. Just install them (one nut and one bolt), and you're done.

    The lower bolt what is that connected to the lower control arm or what? My friends broke off today and we are trying to see if anything can help. Thank you

    I stripped the bottom bolt Of the exact same shock absorber to an 06, Where do I find the replacement bolt after I pop it out of the knuckle housing?

    Torquing the bolts at the point where the shock would be with the tire on and resting on the ground.

    You'll need to replace spindle, I wouldn't weld it bc welds do not hold good on that type of metal
