Amazing Video, Didn't know it could be that easy. Always a pain to put the arm back into place. Never thought to just loosen it slightly and place lens back in

Thanks for this video! I have a gold frame with grey glasses and i was planing to get another 3025 with the light brown glasses but i wasn't sure if I wanted to get the gunmetal frame or a second gold one. With this tip, I will get definitely the gunmetal so I can interchange glasses between both frames. Thanks!

Hey Shade Review. Are you doing the Ray-Ban Blair this year? RB2196 A truly funky 60s/70s sporty, mod-ish style which disappeared from the mens wardrobe. Most people discovering the Blair, and the Persol version, these days would think women first and men last for this style. My how things change lol.

ADVICE NEEDED: After seeing this easy process, I bought myself replacement glasses and a fitting screwdriver - got both straight from the manufacturers website. The screws seem to be in place very tight though and won't even wiggle a bit. I hesitate to extend a great amount of pressure for I don't want to break the frame. Any suggestions on how too loosen the screws up a bit?

Have you used a pair of B&L 5022 wayfarers? Do you know if they are exactly the same sunglasses as the RB2140? Is the tilt exactly the same angle?

@@ShadeReview what kind of changes could be between both sunglasses? I ask because i own a pair of b&l5022 and the are very comfortable (frame feels thinner than the 2132 that i also have) but i don't like 100% how they look on my face. But a few days ago i tried a pair of 2140 50mm and they feel diferent, (thicker, more like the 2132) and i think they look better on my face (maybe is just some psychologycal thing haha). That's why i'm trying to investigate if there are differences.

@@anonimo120797 The B&L Wayfarers were 50-24's. That's why they looked great on all face and head sizes/shapes. Luxottica fucked up the Wayfarer, made them less comfortable and versatile for most people. I need the low bridge Asian fit model because it's got more of a B&L feel to them (at least I imagine a B&L would feel more that way as I only own Luxottica regular and Asian fit version Wayfarers).

Starrett is overkill if that's not your profession. What you're telling people to get is a $100+ dollar pack of starett drivers when you can go to lowes, home depot even walmart and get kobalt or ryobi for under $10, they won't strip on one screw. Good video never the less but geez, if someone is here to see a DIY repair video in YT its usually because they don't have the money to get them professionally fixed, why would you then tell them to buy professionally priced tools that costs almost as much as the glasses themselves and 2 ¹/2 times the price of a replacement lens?

  • @ShadeReview

I now have switched to this Bergeron set actually amzn.to/4bheJii For me having a professional set is a must, but I work on hundreds of pairs each month. For the average person craftsman or cobalt are probably fine, but after breaking several sets and wasting time ordering another or dealing with the warranty, I only go with high-quality tools. But if you’re just planning on doing a few repairs, the sheets will work just as good.
