Perfect explanation. I watched this video and instantly started working afterwards. I am in a field, and in school for Automotive Service Management, BUT this was my first time ever doing a radiator job.

I’ve been noticing a lil leak on the driver’s side end of my XJ radiator. Today I saw some juice on the ground. I guess I’m getting closer to this project. At 264k I’m not surprised. Looks better than the water pump I did over the summer. Haven’t had any overheating so I’m staying ahead of these things. Will definitely buy the TRQ parts. Have had no issues with parts from them!

It's a bit easier to leave the radiator top mount connected to the cross-member and disconnect that from the front chassis thus removing both as one. Jeep drain plugs are famous for breaking. After all, they're plastic along with the tanks. If you're draining the antifreeze and not replacing the radiator, it's safer to drain it from the lower hose.

I just wanna say DO NOT drain your coolant from that petcock unless youd like it landing everywhere but the bucket you put under it… youll have better luck pulling lower rad hose off

Good video. Only suggestion would be to have mentioned the importance of flushing the system to remove any rust and debris left behind from previous radiator.

I ordered a three core radiator off eBay and I had cut the quick connect. I clamped it down; now it’s leaking from the line fitting itself.. I’m so fed up lol
