Excellent video: it took me a few hours yesterday (8/24/19) to replace my passenger side power mirror because I had to replay parts of the video as I went along. However, I completed the mirror replacement project successfully, saved money, and made my wife happy by demonstrating I could handle the project without paying someone else to do it.

Thanks for the video, the repair went great. Note that I was worried that I couldn't reattach the cables to the lock mechanism correctly. There's enough slack that I kept it on and made sure the door panel didn't move (might have duct taped to be sure) and you don't have to take it off.

These guys always explain things so well that they make it look easy, replacing mirror is easy but I struggled with engine gasket although I did finally finish.

This video helped me replace the passenger side powered mirror after it got whacked by someone's trash can and broke the actuator mechanism inside. Had to pull an old one off a wrecked Civic and pull the mirror assembly completely apart. Works just like it should and got everything apart and back together in 2 hours. Now I'm looking into fixing my sticking horn button on the steering wheel. :)

I bought my 2007 because I needed a 4 door car to drive for lyft until im done with school, and I completely fell in love with the car. Its easy to work on, parts are really cheap, and Besides lacking some power I love the way it deives very comfortable interior, and its it gets good/okay MPG (30 although it’s supposed to be 35, mine might be getting older. Its a great car and I love the way it looks, wish I had a low mileage SI because that car is definitely going to be collectible when Im an old man, this is one of the most popular cars, after a decade and a half, i still see one every 5 minutes of driving.

Very good video, got it done in less than an hour TO SAVE TIME: you don't have to do anything with the Door Handle Locks, you can keep them in and have the door panel laying down right next to the door.

This is the best video for this, worked for me!! Only change and I'm not sure why I had to leave the door cable clip off to get the door to open close but it works.

Thank you for posting this video! It was very helpful to know the size of the socket (10mm) and the channel run when routing the cables around it so the window doesn't get stuck on the cable! I had to replace my father's 2006 Honda Civic EX passenger side mirror after he accidentally hit it in the garage when backing out.

Thanks for the video! Followed along with it and the repair went super smooth. Passenger side has an extra screw and one one connection to the window/lock console. Otherwise it’s exactly the same process.

Just did mine today this video is awesome. Only thing I did differently was not take whole door panel and door locking mechanism off kind of jumped a step

Great video. I replaced my driver's mirror with the window down. When I put up the window wires were ripped out. A ton fo things suddenly shorted out. This video helped me fix all those items. Thx!

Does anyone know if you can replace the regular sideview mirrors and put in a hybrid's mirrors? (the mirrors with integrated turn indicators) My question is if it would still be compatible with the preexisting wire harnesses in DX and EX models.

You you know if DX models come wired. Currently I have Manuel mirrors and only power windows I’d like to eventually upgrade to all power. I’m replacing a stolen mirror so I thought I’d upgrade while I’m at it, I know I would need button and power mirror but not sure if I’ll need any wire harness.

Hi I was driving home when I went to go merge into the right lane and I hit one of those construction cones by accident and as a result the mirror on the right side of my car is completely shattered. Do I need to replace the entire thing or can I just remove the glass from the mirror itself and just replace the glass? The part itself is not scratched or broken it looks to be just fine and only the glass itself is shattered. My door and my window from my car are fine. Please advise.

Doesn’t the mirror that you had installed comes with folding function? I saw it has a 3-wire connector.

At 8:30 you say the cable for the mirror needs to go out and around the run channel for the window but all of this is impossible to see in your video of course. Is there any way you can give more of a description how to do this step? Other than that, very clear video. Thanks!

My mirror is having a different issue. The top part of the housing is loose. The part that attaches to the door is fine. Trying to find an easy fix for this.

Would it really have taken a lot extra to wipe the door off before installing the new mirror?

Mirrors will have to be replaced with mirrors that have the same exact options otherwise the electrical plugs will not be the same.+Michael Towle

…. This is massive…. The toyota was 30 minutes… idk if i can do this without destroying the door. Seriously every time i open a door panel it doesn’t go back on good at all. How do i do that?

What if only the actual mirror needs to be replaced? The casing is fine and the mirror can still be moved electronically.

I just backed up in 2 a tree it caught ma mirror it popped it right off. dam tree got in ma way 🤔🤔😂😂

door panel doesn't have to come off all the way you can just leave it plug in but becareful

Whatever you do..Don't mess up re attaching the CABLES to the lock mechanism and door handle or your Door will not open. Which really sucks..Maybe you guys can make a supplemental video on getting the door open again.

Did u even watch the video? One cable had grey metal like threads on the black sleeve. The other had a white plastic clip on the black sleeve. It wont fits the other way around!

technically things should be similar for passenger side right?
