Were you easily able to fix it without any issues? I need to fix mine but my friends all think it’s risky. I don’t want to accidentally destroy my laptop.

My hinge is completely broken, so I want to make mine a desktop. Are there any more instructions to completely remove the entire screen?

hi there! extremely helpful! It's 30pin, right? and G3 15 3590 and 3500 are the same lcd? and If I get a new lcd with 144hz, can I put the lcd on it with 30pin to 40pin connecter? thank you.

No, it will not work, the 30 to 40 pin connector/adapter is only useful for adapting surplus touch-screen LCDs (40-pin) as non-touch-screen replacements (30-pin). The 144Hz screen requires more data-lanes than the 30 pin cable provides. It may be possible to replace the 30-pin video cable from the motherboard to a 40-pin cable, if one was made for your computer.

You can do it as a precaution, otherwise just be extra careful when plugging the connector in, use both hands and don't fiddle with it. Slide it in, secure with tape.

Ah yes, there's this website www.LaptopScreen.com, they sell all kinds of replacement LCDs, with life-time warranty. They also have a KZread channel where they post laptop screen replacement tutorials, I have heard great things from other people about them.

That's a Dell service tag number. According to Dell's website (www.dell.com/support/) you have a Dell G3 15 3500. It has 5 LCD options on our site and there are upgrades for some of them: www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Dell/G3%2015%203500/

If there are no obvious cracks on it, then it's best to check/replug the video cable at the back of the LCD. If the screen flickers as you move the hinges, than you need a new video cable - current one is frayed in the hinges. Connect an external monitor/tv and check if that also flickers - if it does your video card maybe failing. And if none of that applies - replace LCD.
