Just received this $56 part for my 2007 RAV4 Limited V6, and it worked perfectly. NO MORE CLUNK! Great instructions too. Hint: you can drop on the bottom portion of the shaft (the last step) and then take the car for a short drive to make sure the steering wheel is still centered, if not (as was my case), drive dead straight for 50 yards or so, stop and lift the bottom part off the splines, move the wheel back to dead center and drop it back on the splines, then tighten with bolt. My OCD was firing on all cylinders when the wheel wasn't exactly perfect.
You made an excellent video, thanks for sharing.
Great vídeo! However, I see how you wacked trying to insert back again in the shaft knowing already that you could've used the same reverse procedure with the pry small bar to open the the gap again and gently slide it in. Hammering that new piece could cause a minor damage.
I buy TRQ parts bcuz of all the helpful videos lol
Thankyou for the effort to make a quality video
thanks for video

My intermediate shaft has a brown/orange mist of fluid on it, dealer said it’s lubricant, no knocking or anything but just wanted to ask Incase he’s pulling a fast one?
What does the plastic part do?
Could you just loosen it all up with the bolts accessible?

Knocking in steering when turning at slow speeds either forward or backwards especially when going over a bump at the same time.
