I just did it. It's deceptively simple as he says. I took the door off by opening it a bit and pulling up on the sides. I shut the power off for the oven by pulling a fuse. Four screws. take the screw holding the L shape pipe off, but leave the pipe hanging. Take the two screws off the igniter. Screw on the right of igniter might require you push up on the loose L shape pipe a bit. Pull screw off holding igniter to the metal bracket. Gently pull the wires out. My wires had plastic nuts on them. I kept the nuts and threw away tape on them. Unwrap the twisted wires gentle because they might be real old. My igniter measured 1.5M ohms which meant it was open and nonfunctional. Good igniter had reading much closer to 0 ohms.

Showing the whole process would've been really helpful!! Just showing it done clips would've been great.

Thank you kind sir. Saved me a $250 service call. Found replacement “Oven Bake Igniter” on Amazon for $27. Also. There are two types of people in this world. Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data. . . Your video had everything I needed to figure it out and leaving it factory connected and splicing it in, tucking the extra length is so much easier!

You don't even show how you took it out or put in the new one?!

Yer kidding right? I’ve got this exact problem and thot this video would be of help. THUMBS DOWN. How about showing the first 20 minutes of the video where you’re removing the defective igniter and re-installing the good igniter?!?

Would have been nice to see what you did to get to the end result, not just the end result. THUMBS DOWN!

This is how NOT to replace an Igniter. 1st. Shut off power and GAS. 2nd. Do not use Flammable materials such as electrical tape or you WILL have a fire. 3rd. Call a professional.
