The absolute BEST video on YT for this How-To! Thank you for showing AND telling the locations, the drawings for precise locations, the tools/sizes needed, proper lighting of the areas, the nice cadence of your voice, great editing, and for not adding a bunch of unnecessary verbiage or music. This was so well done!! 👏👏👏👏

Accidentally touch the positive battery cable to the negative post on the battery when I changed it out. Touched it for literally like an eighth of a second just tapped it. I had no power no lights no instrument lights no nothing watched your video went down but the 175 mega fuse install that car started right up, thank you so much for your video very very helpful can't thank you enough you might've save me hundreds of dollars because I was already thinking of taking it to a mechanic but thanks to you I owe you dinner or lunch. Thanks again buddy keep up the good work keep posting a Videos.

Hey, I did the same thing but it was because the last person had the wrong battery in there and the post were reverse but anyways have you noticed any type of electrical issues since this happened? I also blew my mag fuse, but I noticed immediately after this, that my lights now/when I'm driving at night. They get dim bright dim right constantly. I can't figure it out. I'm going to replace the positive negative wires next 🇺🇸💪🏻👊🏻🤙🏼

i needed a nut to thread onto this and add an extra ground wire. I bought several from home depot and i believe it was the M10 1.5 size one that threaded onto my 2008 2500hd 6.0 it doesnt thread on as easy as i would like i had to use pliers but it worked good enough for what i needed

Only other thing Id recommend is to thoroughly clean mounting points, and use dielectric grease on connections because they are different materials The grease will prevent oxidation

I had the same thing happened to me but in my case it also turned out to be the ground wires along with the negative battery terminal, I would recommend checking both things before spending a lot more money in diagnostics from a shop.

If you have a 2008 Sierra Denali the second wire that comes off the negative cable and connects underneath the radiator, you DO NOT need to remove the wheel well. You can just scoot under the front end it will be right there.

Thank you for putting this video together,it is very helpful. I have had the same problem on 2007 Escalade for about six months. Battery has a lot of power, have lights, radio, etc. I do have one more question is the Battery Current Sensor P/N 13505369 on the Negative Cable?

  • @andrewhemi2309

i just bought this cable to fix my 07 escalade, yes the "harness" he keeps mentioning is the battery current sensor that comes with the new cable. When i ordered it I was told there are two varients of the sensor which were not vin specific, a 5 volt reference and a 10 volt reference. Meaning the BCM sends a signal to the battery current sensor at either a 5 volt or 10 volt signal, easy way to check is unplug the harness, use a multimeter, and if i remember the manual, the middle pin will be sending the signal which you can measure. Then order the correct cable.

So, I'm supposed to have a grounding cable attached to the front of the engine on that little bolt? I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT, and I have never seen a wire on that bolt AT ALL! I'm definitely going to have to do some tracing now!

Where did that random black man voice come from at the end with the “YEAH!” 🤣 Great video, Lady’s been giving me weird electrical errors and is only rectified when I shake the negative terminal cable so I’m sure that’s the culprit. Thank you.

Hey, so I’m looking at a 2007 Escalade ESV and when I go to turn it on all the electronics light up but when I turn the key here is a clicking sound I’ve narrowed it down to either the negative battery terminal being bad or cable being bad or the starterhow do I tell without having to rip out the starter?

I’m having some weird issues in my Cadillac starts up and drives fine but st stop lights my battery charging system light comes on. Also had my gauges go bonkers door locks popping up and down and can’t barely rev than in a min it drives fine. Battery fairly new alternator checks out. Last I checked the battery cables seem fine but I may have missed the one on block negative cable.
