Going to be swapping out the filter this week. Thanks for the video, i have been trying to get this gs300 started with this newer motor i have and had no luck, only luck ive had is with starter fluid, hopefully this works

dam i just did this to my 05 well i guess i didnt really do it cause i fucked up with assembly so my car wont start. so I just rewatched this video and I took pictures so I will try again tomorrow. lowkey don't know what i'd do without this guide

@@BudgetClan I tore it all apart again cause I found the little plastic piece that holds the o ring at the top part stuck in the old filter. So I put that in this time and I also replaced the strainer cause it touched my workbenches which got it a lil dirty. And after 3 or 4 turns to prime it boom she roared to life. And after a road test It works pretty well. My car has 130k miles and after this new filter it idles slightly lower

So here’s the thing: I have a Lexus es330 2004 and the issue is I have a fuel cap that has a seal no screws to unscrew the cap like yours have, so you have any suggestions, I tried researching how to replace fuel filter for Lexus es330s models but they’re rarely to come by, I’m thinking about make a video how to do so for people who don’t have certain information for this model.

Subscribed. Had to do this today in double quick time and it worked out perfectly thanks to video, lucky as I had to go pick up the Mrs and kid right after! I cut the old filter open and it was black with nasty crap, looked an original 2003 item😅 Nice one!

How do I replace the strainer sock part? Is it easy?

So there are 2 filters??? I see a sock outside and you replaced a plastic canister that you called filter?

It's a lifetime filter. You should have included what the old filters condition was in by cracking into the plastic to remove it.

Does the fuel filter have a relationship with higher fuel consumption?

So this is recommended at say 200k? I’m not sure I understand the lifetime filter thing of not needing to be changed? Doesn’t it get dirty even if it’s suspended in the tank?

the filte need to be changed every 80k km or 96 months according to the service manual.

It's a bit tricky but I start with the cheapest route which is always the filter. And in this case it was mine was clogged.If it is not the filter then I would move on to the injectors then the pump

done one more time, just dont harry up , dont be afraid of dusk, with sick lights inside garage. o-ring from pomp wasnt framed.

If you're not having any problems I wouldn't change it I would just run fuel system cleaners

Getting some hesitation when accelerating and sometimes misfires on cylinder 5, thinking might change the fuel filter, all plugs and packs and wires changed 2 yrs ago

I dont believe in "Lifetime" anything...I mean what does that actually mean? Lifetime of the car? Lifetime of the pump? Fuel filters get dirty that is a fact and when they do they stress the pump causing it to draw more amps possibly leading to premature failure of the pump. I Have a 150k on my Ls and decided to do some checks. I connected an amp clamp to the fuel pump power wire at the pump and read the numbers and the pattern on a oscilloscope. The pattern looked good but the Amps seemed a little high @ 9 amps peak while running at an idle through the fuel pump resistor so I am going to replace the filter and remeasure... Ill report back after I'm done.
