Thank you for posting this. I just supervised my 15 year old daughter changing out a bad motor in our 2003 Corolla. We had one slight issue that you didn't cover in the video though. Our motor quit when the window was all the way down. Small hands and a little ingenuity resolved the issue. We removed the speaker and that gave her just enough room to get the forward bottom bolt. It took us quite a bit longer than it did you, however, I will forever cherish the time her and I spent together doing this. You're video is now part of a forever memory in our family. Much thanks.

This video was a life saver, I thought it'd be way more difficult but you made it so easy.

Should have explained it if the regulator is out and the window is stuck down.

I picked up an '04 Matrix last week to learn manual as a project. Window died. Video saved me and I was able to perform the replacement solo. Huge accomplishment for me since I'm more of the lightbulbs and air filters crowd.

For everyone here with their window stuck down like mine was. If you will unscrew all the bolts for the motor, you can slide the whole assembly up and gain access to the other window bolt. You're welcome

What if my window regulator does not move up or down? How do i take the bolts out?

My car power window glass got displaced. Thank you. With your video, I was able to fix it by myself. Keep up the good work

If your window is stuck down you can try taking the panel off, and while rolling the window up give the door a whack near the window motor and it may allow you to roll the window up. It worked for me and let me drive around for a couple weeks with limiting rolling ability

Use a heat gun to warm up the butyl seal removal and installation.

How do you line up the bolt in hole if you can’t use master switch to roll window up? I believe my motor is shot. So basically I need a manual way to raise window up to line up bolt for removal. Every video I’ve seen they use the switch, must be nice! 😂

How do you raise the window if it don’t work. WHY would anyone be doing all this if the window worked.

Why did you replace it? What was wrong with the elevator?

I find it easier to replace the door
