This video shows you how to install front brake pads and rotors on your 2012-2020 Ford Focus. Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2012 Ford Focus
2013 Ford Focus
2014 Ford Focus
2015 Ford Focus
2016 Ford Focus
2017 Ford Focus
2018 Ford Focus

My mechanic wanted a small fortune to do the front brakes. I'm not mechanically inclined, and wouldn't normally tackle this job, but this video made it so easy even I was able to get it done in a couple of hours. And it only cost me about a hundred bucks for the parts. Thank you so much! Fantastic video.

Just finished my fronts following this video! They started grinding last week so I found this video, ordered the parts and knocked it out. That Allen socket makes a world of difference. I tried with a regular Allen wrench and got it off but man that sucked. Otherwise it was exactly as smooth as the video makes it look.

Very good demo, thank you I'm doing my girlfriends breaks tomorrow. I learned alot on that one, wasn't quite sure where to Greece, now I know. And the 7mm allen bolt needed to know that to. I think I got to go pick up one. Thank you again, James

100 foot pounds on the lug nut. I thought your sapose to get a breaker bar with the added cheater extention and stand on it, and do the one subtle jump on the end of the cheeter bar. Lol Very nice job now Im going out to do my own break job. Thank you.

Excellent video, good pace, nice expression and thorough cleaning and lubrication that I would have missed without watching that. I always remove the cap of the brake fluid before compressing the pistons, is that not necessary, is the reservoir the other side of the servo or something?

the 7mm Allen screws on the one Im working on are being a nightmare...already broke a 7mm allen socket...it stripped itself out of the soket it was in...not sure why they did this instead of a normal bolt.

He says 21ft pounds for caliper bolts and 129ft pounds for the bracket. I found a website stating for a 2016 Ford focus caliper bolts 30ft pounds and 75 for bracket. Just saying if your watching this for a 2016
