Thanks for the guide, saved me a ton of money. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that you help so much people.
That's going to be 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch on those rotor release bolts. Nice vid - every step and procedure explained in detail. A lot of guys never bother to explain half the stuff they're doing ... you're just left on your own to guess about it .

Just working on my son 2007 camry here in Australia, and I don't think the rotors have ever been changed. They were giving up a good fight to get off, but after watching your video, they came off without a problem. Thanks 😊 for you very insightful and informative video. Very helpful. Regards, Paul
Best video I’ve seen! Thank you Jim!
Your video was very helpful. Thanks for making videos for dudes like me that don't know very much about mechanics but want to do the work themselves to save a buck or two.

Jim, thanks for all your quality videos. You have saved me so much money. Hope that finger heals ok.
Thank you, sir! great step-by-step instruction for dummies and exactly what I needed to know to change my own Camry's brake pads. Over explanation is good in teaching those who have no experience doing this type of work. wish you could put a link for key tools and possibly quality brake pads in the description section but not a big deal. Thanks again and I subscribed.

Awesome tutorial brake job on camry. Thanks for your video. I will subsribe.
Hey, I just want to say thank you. The most I’ve ever done with my car is change the oil haha It took me 4 hours but it got done
Thanks for your detail instructions, I just changed the front brakes on my 2007 Camry! Great job on the video!!!
Excellent video; however I always use a C clamp to compress the piston into the caliper. Very informative video.
Thank you for this video! I am about to buy my first car and it needs new brake pads. This is incredibly helpful!

Hi Jim Thanks for a very clear & comprehensive guide to doing brakes yourself Thanks again ::))
Yeah sorry to hear about your finger I'm in the same boat I had surgery on my right wrist I'm out of work for 3 months get better soon Jimmy
Hay Jim thank you soo much brother I just did the complete brake job on my camry yeasterday. I took both slider pin out at same time but didn't pay attention which one should go back to top and bottom. Your video saved my day. So thank you. I used centric rotors and ackebono pads. Thay were smoking on first test drive after the installation and not anymore but I can smell burning. Is that normal ???? Thank you Jim

New rotors come with anti-rust coating out of the box. You can simply wipe them with brake cleaner before you put them on, and you won't get the burning smell after that.
Great vid. I upvoted so that next time i try to replace something on my car, I get your vids.
Very good detailed explanations of the steps. I recommend you use chapter divisions so a viewer can skip directly to the step that's currently needed.
When ever I push the bore back into the piston I always crack the bleeder. For two reasons makes it easier and it gets the old contaminated burnt fluid out! It's amazing how bad it is and I don't want particles push back into the brake system. Other then that great video!

How’s that finger doing ? And is using this much silicon bad for attracting dirt or any bad side effects . Thanks !
I love and enjoy your videos Jim but I’m getting bored of brake and oil changes. Anything more interesting to fix?
Great vdo! Thanks so much. I just replaced the brake pads about 5 months ago but now the rotors are no good and it needs new rotors. The brake pads are still very good and the question is: Do I need to replace the brake pads to go along with the new rotors? Thanks!

if I reuse the brake pads i changed 5 months ago, do i need to resurface these brake pads?
Hope your finger gets better. Great video.
Thanks Jim. Very detail
Great video absolutely very professionally done two tiny little things on the rear you did not spray brake clean on the back side of the rotor and also if you have to adjust the break you'll have to push that rubber thing inside the drum??

We have 2007 Toyota Camry LE and when I slow down before I come to complete stop it makes a Grinding Noise in the back. Could it be the brake pads that's making the noises??

I would remove the drum just to take a look .
Better too have two 8 x 1.25 bolts, this way the rotor comes off even..

Hey Sr, a coworker of mine is selling me his 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix , do you think this is a good car , in the way that don' t give you headaches , and do you think it is an easy car to do mecanic on ? , like Toyotas Camry for example where most of the parts are accesible , thanks and wait for your answer
Did he say it needed to be in neutral or not? Because I googled it and it said that it’s supposed to be so if it definitely is supposed to I feel like that should’ve been something that was said it could’ve been at the beginning and I just didn’t watch it a second time I don’t know
What type of grease
Ouch. You took a good hit on your hand. Smoke is always normal after I work on a car. LOL

For sure . I lost another nail.It was not the first and I think it will not be the last.
Why didn't you put on the tiny little clip that goes on top of the brake pad? They usually give you the clips that sit in the caliper bracket, but theres a tiny clip that attaches to the end of the pad.
There is no doubt you're very careful you do your due diligence you are very careful but you work like a bull in a china shop you bump into things you ain't 18 no more you better slow down and better be more careful are you going to smash some more fingers maybe a foot it's not just about the job as you get older you got to take care of yourself so why is there O-rings on the front pins only one and not anywhere else to keep the dust out?
wow, and I thought my pads were bad....
