This video shows you how to install a tensioner pulley and serpentine belt on your 2011-2019 Ford Explorer. That squealing noise coming from your vehicle’s engine compartment could be a slipping belt, or it could be a bad pulley bearing, or both. 2013 Ford Explorer
2014 Ford Explorer

Thanks! You made this pretty easy. I popped off three rivets to remove enough wheel liner; it wasn’t necessary to remove the whole thing. I removed and tightened the bolts from above and I held tension with a 3/8” breaker bar from above while a helper put the belt on from below.

Thanks for posting! Great vid. Did mine today and I found it far easier to take the top two spring bolts off from the engine bay rather than wrestle in tight space. The one at the bottom is easy access when you take the trim off. My tensioner was completely seized and wouldn’t release but rather than cut the belt, I just unscrewed the spring and got the belt off. Thanks for the guide!

With a proper belt tension adjuster wrench, you can replace the serpentine on the 2011-2019 explorer from the engine compartment without removing any panels in less time than it took to watch this video. Have done so more than a dozen times.
