@@famosisimo did you get yours done? How’d it come out and what year and exact Jetta did you do?
Best video ever I have seen for cv joint and also cv boot replacement. Great work, man. Thank you for showing us, now its so easy for us all. Spreading knowledge and love, thats what its all about. I wish you the best.
My cv joint literally exploded today in my polo. Never fixed anything like this before on my car. Have done few other simple things but this seems to be the best video and has given me confidence to the fact I can fit it myself.

Did you get it done and ok now?

@Hard Core yeah this was two years ago. But it was a pain to try and slide the cv off the drive shaft. New one fitted and worked perfect
Great video, I used every trick you shared to simplify the disassembly and assembly (using the CV drive bolt were the most useful) and found replacing the CV boot on my Audi went quickly without any additional complications

Have you ever done one before? What year and model was your car and is it still holding up?
Just the information i was looking for and now away to the garage and get dirty ;) BIG thanks from Perra in Sweden.
This was the best outer cv boot or outer cv joint how to replacement video, what I have seen.
U just helped a 20year old mechanic good sir!
Got around to doing the cv joint today. Thanks to this video it was probably one of the easiest jobs I've ever done. On a car. I have a skoda octavia, didn't have to take out the track rod end either. Thanks for the video.
I want to say thank you. Not only was the video good. It was clear, concise and even a bit funny at times... Very good energy and positive. Great camera angles. The outer boots on my 2013 Beetle were cracked and the mechanic wanted $800 to do the job. A few trips around town for the right parts and tools and a couple hours labor....all done. Test drive done.... Thank you!!!!

This is definitely the best video on this job. All the rest take the full driveshaft off when there's no need. Thankyou for taking the time to post this. Very helpfull. All the best. 😊🚙👍👍
USED THIS FOR MY B8 ALLROAD THANK YOU MUCH MORE SIMPLER!
Great video my friend. I have now plenty of coffidence to do it myself. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with others.
Brilliantly demonstrated, with some useful tips. Thanks for posting this.
Spot on we need more like this on Vw touran 👍👍
you're a live saviour.. even my local shop didn't know these trick, guess the Germans already thought bout everything.. many thanks 👍
This is one job that I’ve been paying for over the decades. I have zero technical skill’s and so I have to pay to get any job done. This is a lovely video with clear and easy instructions and a job well done. It looks so simple and with time I might just think about doing this with my son’s & save money n the long run
That's awesome .Brilliant idea .You deserve my salute ,Welldone
Great video. Best I've seen! Using the hub bolt to pull the joint off is great idea if you have a ratchet gun thing. If not, steady pressure on bolt will just start rotating the shaft. Took shaft off in the end and clamped it in massive vice to pull cv joint off with bolt.
This video has helped me out massively!! Thank you
Brilliant well done really clear instructions
Thank you for good instructions, after watching I may try and tackle this myself.
Very good video and very informative, easy to learn and to follow step by step. Thank you
Well I never knew that about screwing the bolt in to get the joint off what a great tip, awesome thank you 🙏
Thanking for using your hands to explain the movement of parts and articulations. Very Helpful!!! Others just point a camera and only use their words. Very good video!!

Great video, explanations, and camera angles. Really clear and informative.
Popping the joint off of the driveshaft by tightening the screw (4:50ish) did for some reason not work on my VW Caddy 2007 but we got it off anyway. Thanks a bunch for the help!
This is the best video for us beginners, everything is clear. Thank you bro

Best video I have come across for Cv joint
Really good, easy to follow, great camera work and lighting with attention to safety and accuracy with torque settings and axle stands. I've done plenty of work on Japanese cars, this helped me to be sure it's simple on the VW group also before getting too far into a job I couldn't complete.
Great video! Thank you
really helpful, especially the cv joint removal trick 😁
Thanks everso, important to know what needs Hammering and what don’t, will make my Gaiter job easier on better half’s Polo
This video is Very helpful ❤❤

Loved the video Simple and very explainable Keep the good work 💪 Im watching you from portugal 😁
Great video, helped a lot. Thank you
Thanks for this video, it's very useful.
This is such a great video.
Fantastic video!
Good video. One thing. NEVER hammer on the bolt threaded into the end. You can strip the threads. Instead, put a socket large enough to clear the splines and hammer on the socket. Also, always replace the axle bolt, it's a stretch type and requires red thread locker.

Just use a copper mallet straight on the spline ends, wont do any damage as its much softer than hard steel.

Thanks for this , really clear information, including how the spacer ring and circlip are placed , regards mark
Hi and thanks again for the video, as said by many people and given in the etka, the 200 nm must be done with the wheel not on the floor, and the 180° turn after releasing the wheel.
Good work
Best vedio 💕💕
Awesome video mate, easy to follow
Very good video friend
great vedio
Good job
Best video
Legendary xx thanks alot
Wow nice this video
I hit a pot hole today and part of the metal on the lower arm front bushes sheared off, the link also sheared and the drive shaft separated from the cv joint! got recovered by the AA, that was £70 well spent for relay. I've taken the lower arm off and was wondering how I was going to reattach the CV joint to the drive shaft all the other videos tell you to remove the drive shaft to do this job your method will save me a lot of time and effort. Thanks
Nice video
thank you
Wonderful ❤❤
Perfect ❤🎉
I continued screwing the bolt to pop the CV joint off but it just ended up threading the bolt. 🤦♂️ I then went and purchased a CV joint removal tool and used the new bolt that came with the boot replacement kit and it threaded that also! 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Looks like I’m booking it in to the garage
Nice one
Teşekkürler
Master @ work
Good ❤❤❤❤
I did it on my Audi tt the only problem was that now I need a wheel alignment after this and also I have code with the brake pads but thanks you so much for the video
Nice
