I'm not exactly sure which part you're talking about but as long as you have good jack stands holding the truck, it's more than enough strength to bet your life on. Thanks for watching. Like and subscribe.

@@TheKZreadMechanic Yes I am a die hard Ford man. I admire your work ethic. Here's another one. Fu---d Over Rebuilt Dodge. A 3/8ths astro air impact could make your job a bit easier. Myself doing repairs I use Craftsman 20 volt brushless. I can't afford the name brands. However they do the trick. New subscriber. Ken

@@TheKZreadMechanic One minor detail, The head of the bolt on the lower control arm the head should be on the inside of the control arm. The nuts should be on the outside.. When tightening, tighten the nut not the head of the bolt when possible and not the head of the bolt.. And I don't give a dam! What type of attitude is this? BTW, don't you torque the lug nut or any of the other fasteners? How about the first cotter pin that you removed in pieces?

@@kenskip1 Why would it matter if the nut is on the inside or out? 12:22 you can see that the new ball joint doesn't use a cotter pin. no I just tighten shit down and we ball. If it is something sensitive then I'll use a torque wrench. all that other stuff is good to go.

@@TheKZreadMechanic Lets try this again, The service manual specifies that the head of the bolt is inserted from the inside out. The people at Ford know what they are talking about. I will agree with you about witch way the bolt goes however you took the easy way out. As to torqueing the lug nut, sir you are taking a chance. Do you have automotive certification certificates? Are you insured and licensed buy your state? If a ball joint of something broke loose then you could be liable for damages. I am trying to help you.

I think people worry a little too much about torquing down lug nuts. I'm not against it. But I don't need a torque wrench to put your lug nuts on. We are responsible for every nut we install whether we use a torque wrench or an impact or a breaker bar. I'm convinced a lot of those other torque values are added because an engineer was taught by other engineers that you have to have a torque spec on every single nut and bolt.
