IF you have all the air out of the system, then clutch needs replacing inside the transmission. If clutch is rock hard feel, that's it for sure. If it's soft, often air is still there

when they get hot, and won't shift, either the clutch assembly is wearing inside, OR the actual transmission is wearing out, overheating, and jamming. Just be sure the hydraulics are working when it acts up, by having one guy step on the clutch while you see if the rod modes in and out at the slave normally

Love your tutorials! However, you didn't mention something here... You don't have to have a leak for the cluth Master cylinder to fail. Mine failed internally and the signs were: 1. A stiff stick. The stick was nearly impossible to move into gear. 2. When I bled the system, there was a ton of black gunk in the drained brake fluid. Just wanted to let your listeners know that. Thanks and keep up the great work 👍

@rb26dettsr20 Rattling with clutches like that are usually worn throw out bearings or worn clutch plates. As long as it works, live with the noise because the only option would be to tear the tranny off and replace the worn parts. And don't use that same company for parts again ( I assume you used a kit and replaced ALL the parts, not just the clutch disc.) Scotty Kilmer

Scotty i have stiff hydraulic clutch problem. It's soft at cold start but when the engine gets warm it gets stiff and the biting point seems to go high. I have bled the slave many times and the problem stays. It wasn't the clutch disc because it was just 2 years old. A mechanic told me to do the push back technique, or to see if the insides of the clutch was properly greased. Would this solve the problem?

Hey Scotty I have a weird clutch pedal feel in my 2005 mustang gt. after driving the car for about 15 to 20 minutes specially on a hot day going from stop light to stop light it seems as tho the pedal loses engagement travel. It engages close to the floor it always has been since I replaced the clutch last year. It works fine at first but it feels like it loses pressure or something. Taking of from first becomes hard and the engagement is not smooth the second I start releasing the clutch it starts to grab and from there there's not smooth travel to engage the clutch. No leaks on the clutch master or slave/throwout.

Hey scotty..becoming a fan of your vids. Recently i bought a 5spd hyundai accent driving it noticed the brakes would stick. Removed vacuum hose to cylinder i think. Heard air come out and put back on, car ran fine. Would stick again later. Took it to shop, they replaced calipers n rotors. They test drove it few blocks, was ok. I drove intown little bit,was ok. As i was heading home they started sticking again. Pulled over ,could see small smoke by calipers. I removed hose again and car ran ok.. my question.. is my master cylinder bad or a brake hose may be blocked ? Should i take it to auto mechanic or brake specialist?

My master cylinder has a line coming out of the front and straight into the transmission. There is no place that I can see to bleed it. My truck won't move and I think it needs the line bled because the clutch won't engage. What do I do to bleed the line? Thanks

Thank you master Scotty Kilmer! You are the man!!! However the girlfriends 06 manual Saturn Vue clutch went out today but there is still fluid in the reservoir and when you pump the pedal you can see the fluid pumping in the reservoir, but will not engage gears. I'm thinking maybe it's inside shifter mechanism, I just need to take the plastic gear shifting covers off and see. I already had to fix her shifting cables by drilling and inserting a hardened Bolt through the bottom if the shifter lever. Thanks, we all love you bro sir!

My 2000 toyota mr2 makes a rubbing noise when i press the clutch. If i let the clutch go, the noise disappears. It shifts fine, i see no leaks.. what could it possibly be?

About a week ago I was driving down the road and I hear something hit the bottom of my car. After I heard that my car wouldn't take off in gear... I replaced the clutch and it still will not move in gear... I can move thru the gears without pushing in the clutch... I know if you have the car running and you let off the clutch and it stalls out the clutch is good but if keeps run the clutch is bad well my keeps stalling out but I can put it in gear and let of the clutch and it still will not engage in gear what can it be
