I didn’t have any cracking but the screen wouldn’t respond to the touch. The dealership quoted $1400 to fix it. After watching your videos I thought it was worth $130 to try your screen. After watching your videos several times the install was a piece of cake, less than 2 hours on my 2013 SRX. My wife is thrilled. Happy wife, happy life. Thanks cuescreen.

I just installed the CueScreen in my SRX. Absolutely fabulous product and is working as the original! The video is bang on and if you take your time and are patient, this installation will go well. Watch the video a few times and have it with you when you take everything apart, including the trim on the car. Thank you very much for saving everyone a pile of money. The dealer here in Canada wanted $2250+Tax for this installation with the screen. I would give you 10 stars if I could!!!!

Awesome PRODUCT and awesome tutorials! Spot on. I was so nervous taking this on, that i let the new screen sit in the unopened box for weeks after arrival. Finally dug in today after watching both videos twice. I checked each step 3 times to make the install went correctly on my 2017 XTS. FINALLY after 1.5 years of dealing with phantom touches, while never responding to my touch, my car went into nanny mode with the silly "dont take your eyes off the road" screen. Since the OK button was inoperable, my car was stuck there. Final straw. Took on this tutorial today, and it works perfectly. Thank you! I hope you folks sell a million of these.

40 years as a tech and can truly say this was the easiest and most cost economical repair I have completed on my ATS. I hope it lasts in the Florida sun and I finally have one less reason to hate my car. Shame on Cadillac as 4 screens replaced in 5 years is totally unsat. GM should have been using this design from the beginning. On a 5 star rating, the replacement material and video are a 10.

I watched your first and second video. Your attention to detail made the videos easy to work with with tear down and rebuild of car and module. I followed each step, stopped the video, did each step, then restarted where I left off until the cue screen was attached and back in the 2014 srx car working. Now, understand that I am not mechanically inclined so the entire job for me was 6 hours with a few breaks in between but I myself was able to get it done. Thank you.

Thanks a lot, took me around 1.5 hours from start to finish and now works perfectly, (This is probably the first time I post a comment on KZread) its worth doing it yourself the dealer wanted around $1500. My advise is to check which model your screen is rather than just your car year, mine is a 2015 ATS but I guess the screen was replaced under warranty in its previous ownership as my screen required the v2018 screen.

Fantastic replacement screen! Great customer service! My 2014 SRX had been replaced with an OEM replacement before I bought it in 2020. I ordered the wrong early version QUE screen. CUEscreens exchanged for the V2018. I only paid the difference for the higher cost V2018 screen and shipping. CUEscreens included a return shipping label. The V2018 cuescreen is better than the OEM. Clairty is outstanding. Replacement was exactly like the videos demonstrated. This is a DIY to save you $1500! Thank you CUEscreens for a great product and great service!

This might be a little tricky for someone with no mechanical experience .As a retired Electrician and my electrician friend (we have done a lot of our own work on cars starting out very young)we were able to do this albeit we installed the cue ribbon cable upside down and had to take it apart a second time.Second time was one fifth the time as we had the sequence down with a couple of extra screws left over where did not know where they went.Take pictures and watch the video a few times to get familiar.Support was great with the help of Charles I believe his name was, walked me right through it,Feel proud to do it yourself ,because the dealer is a total rip off at 1600 dollars, shameful. Thanks Cuescreens , great idea and great service

Absolutely Awesome! Did my 14 SRX and your product and instructions are excellent. Only thing I'd change is to take both bolts holding the side middle console trim out instead of leaving the front one. Putting it back together, it's difficult to put back in place without damaging the front "fork". Now on to the interior rear gate switch. Caddy sure has gone south in quality. My Grandfather and Father were both Caddy guys. I had a Coupe De Ville in the 80's. Those were well built vehicles. Not so much anymore.

Thanks for the excellent instruction in the video! Good pace and filming. The new screen fixed my issues. Not a terrible job to do but this step-by-step video included all the details and made it easy. 👍 I watched several videos on the subject and this was the best. I ordered through Amazon but I did happen to order your part. It fit and worked well. The Touch Bar on the original looked a little more like chrome and the replacement had a bit more of a brushed stainless look but I don’t think anyone will even notice after seeing the finished install. If I could make a couple of minor points; to increase the chances of getting all of the screws in the screen, bottom out the screws then back up a half turn, once they are all started well, then tighten them up. I understand production tolerances could be an issue but that will give you the best shot at getting them all in. When starting a screw, turn it backwards until you feel a slight bump then tighten, the idea is to go back in the same threads. Of course the new holes in the screen housing won’t have threads yet. I saw you do this in the video but you didn’t mention it, it’s kinda second nature for folks who do work like this often. Lastly, when aligning the small posts on the screen to the brackets, I suggest not pressing on the posts but pushing on the metal bracket instead. In the video on removing the unit, clearly that’s the quickest way but the bolts in the first step are kinda hard to get to. A short 1/4 drive 7mm swivel socket could make it possible but I ended up using an open ended wrench. If you don’t have a set of metric ignition wrenches, a 9/32 is very close and works just fine.

Again, THANK YOU!!! I’d recommend this to anyone to try before just taking it to the dealer (unless still under warranty). Our dealer was straight forward with me about how they would fix it and the cost. GM dealers are only allowed to replace the whole unit. (Roughly $12-1300). So now the wife’s touchscreen is back to full function, she’s happy and we saved a ton of money!

Excellent video, I was able to do this step by step at my desk without issue. I was very careful to not push on the new screen, or touch either the inside of the new screen and the inside of the unit screen after removing the old one as I didn't want permanent fingerprints. Everything lined up very well and went together without fighting me. A couple differences I wanted to point out - I have a 2017 ATS, and I did not have a "compartment box connector" cable at all, which was confusing for a minute as I looked all around for it, but it simply did not exist on mine. Also, my side panels (the ones held in by the 7mm bolts) were only held in by 4 bolts. There were holes in the *unit* for 6, but only 4 holes (2 apiece) in the side panels - I did not have middle the middle holes in my pieces and there were no bolts there, in case anyone else had these differences. Looking forward to NO MORE PHANTOM TOUCHES!!!

This guide and the module removal guide worked perfectly. The screen is amazing. It feels like it’s actually responding faster as well because I believe that gel was affecting how fast it detected a touch. I know the rule is that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but knowing what I know now I’d replace GM’s screen with these screens even if your screen isn’t broken. It’s just clearly better quality.

Great video. $79.99 instead of $1,500 is a great win. Mine was not cracked at all, just (mostly and/or inconsistently non-responsive). Took me just shy of 1.5 hours from start (began removing the cupholder) to finish (closed the door and smiled). On my 2016 ATS, there are only three plastic screws instead of five (@3:07 of video) and they changed the 'compartment box light' connector (@5:00 of video) - it's not there on mine AND you don't have to remove it in order to remove the compartment box. Appreciate the great product and the effort that went into your video -- Thanks, CUESCREENS!

I just finished this repair, followed the instructions and they worked perfectly! Great video, very well done! I also ordered the screen from these guys! For reference, this was on a black 2016 Cadillac ATS, where the touchscreen stopped working completely, the dealership wanted $1400! The whole process took under 2 hours, and that was with me being very cautious, and every screw fitting back exactly as it should! Thank you to whoever made the video, and anyone trying it out, good luck!

THANK YOU!!! I followed remove, repair, reinstall directions frame by frame for my ‘15 Escalade. The screen fit perfectly. No alignment issues. Great suggestion to try it before putting the truck back together - it powered up but touch didn’t work. I went to “troubleshooting” and sure enough it was the little ribbon connection. You need to get that to fit just right. That was the hardest / most frustrating part. I am incredibly happy with the result!

Just did mine and it works!! The VJOs were super helpful and very much appreciated. I would caution anyone thinking about doing it to read the website first and not just dive into it with the 2 VJOs. There are important steps and gotchas that cannot be overlooked. The only thing I had an issue with was removing the two console trim pieces. They didn't come off easily nor go back in smoothly. That's my only critique...that I wished there was more video on those steps. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with CueScreens' effort in making this easy for any home-gamer or anyone looking to save over $1800!! (My dealership in Denver quoted $2K vs $129 for the screen) To anyone thinking you can't do this, you absolutely can. Just give yourself a few hours, make sure to read everything on the website and watch the VJOs a couple times before diving in. Also, don't get stressed out...have patience and it'll go smoothly. You'll have a great sense of self-appreciation once you fix it. Plus, you can do whatever u like with ALL that $$$ you saved!! Thx again, CueScreens, 5 stars, couldn't be happier.

Your video is the go-to video of all covering this issue with the Cadillac CUE systems gel screens. The instructions, lighting, sound, view points, speed...everything was great. I was able to follow along and finish in about a combined 2 hours. I say combined because removing my screen revealed to me that I had the V2018 model in my 2014 SRX...WHAT DO YOU MEAN, you say? I was just as stunned. The one I removed had the waffle pattern. I bought the one for my vehicle year (purchased in 2015) and the only place my car has been serviced was at the Cadillac dealership. The only thing I can think of is that it was swapped out for some reason at the dealership. Anyway, the point I want to share is, to not rely on the year of your vehicle but to actually look at the part when you remove it to make sure you order the right one. So after sending the wrong one back and ordering the right one from CUESCREENS, I was done in a combined 2 hours. Thank you !!! I can used the hundreds I saved to get my nails done.

Just saved $1500+! Anyone can do this! Watch the video a few times, watch while your doing it. Keep each screw type separate and in order. The only thing that was different on my 2015 Cadillac ATS was the one little light clip. It wasn’t on mine. Had no problems with the screw holes lining up. Just took my time as I watched the video. Also, don’t take a chance and order the cheaper one CUE offers, they were right, if it’s not the original unit in the car it won’t work. When I took my unit out, sure enough it had a label on it that said refurbished! I’m very satisfied at this point, just hope it holds up. Thank you!

Unbelievable and awesome product. Cadillac wanted $1,300.00 to fix the well known defective screen, and Cadillac has some nerve to not do a recall for what is really a disposable and defective item. This will be my last Cadillac (OK, I vented enough). I goofed a little when I installed the screen, and I managed to loosen one of the small white ribbon cables which you should never touch during the install, but it may come loose inadvertently. My screen turned on after reinstalling it, but the black panel below the screen did not light up. I actually called the number on the Cuescreen website in the evening, and I thought it was going to voicemail, but it was answered by the owner (I think he is the owner). He told me in a couple minutes what I did wrong, and he was correct. He was also a real gentleman and very professional. All up and running now!!! Yeah, getting the trim apart was the hardest part. Pry outward the top trim first (start at top, the very tippy top, and pull out from there first), then pull on the bottom trim to get to the 2 screws holding in the top trim. Don't be afraid to pull too hard on the bottom trim to get to the 2 screws that hold the top trim on. I used a small rachet 7mm to get the 2 screws out, there is just enough room when pulling the bottom trim out to use the rachet. Do use plastic only wedges, get the kit, because you will scratch the trim while massaging the trim apart (metal tips will slip and scratch). Even if you are not mechanical or don't have a little muscle to do this (the trim), buy it anyway and find a handyman who can follow step by step directions on the internet by this company. This is one of those rare products that are more like miracles, and they work better than the original part. I am very thankful to Cuesystems.com. Thanks CUESYSTEMS!!!!

Just finished mine today.I love saving this kind of money doing it myself. Start to finish and cleanup took me 4 hours. I was very slow and double checked everything. I feel that I could do the next one in half the time. I agree that removing trim is the hardest part. It is my wife's car and they didn't mention that it really helps to put the seat in its lowest position when removing the trim. She drives with it in the highest position. I didn't discover this until I did the reinstall. I highly recommend.

Excellent video. My 2014 screen stopped working before CIVID hit. I was actually apprehensive about replacing my screen (myself). I even communicated with a few sellers on eBay to get a replacement unit. I couldn't see paying Cadillac $1300. The instructions here were very accurate, concise and easy to follow... with a few pauses and rewinds (but that was for me to make sure that I was following the video). I took a little more than an hour from start to finish. Now my Cue looks so nice. I bought a genuine Cue screen on Amazon. Good look replacing yours. Just follow this video and don't lose any screws. Be gentle. Peace

It works! Fairly easy. Not the sort of thing I've done before. This and other DIY videos for this gloss over the hardest part, pulling back the trim to get at the screws to remove the unit. Getting the electrical connections off was not as easy as the video looks. Another thing to note, in this video he constantly reorients the unit but has not said so and is not shown in the disassembly of the unit. Just pause often and note the unit orientation. Putting it back together and into the car was easy, again, pay attention to the unit orientation. Thanks CUESCREENS.

I just installed on 2016 srx, had been replaced once under warranty and cracked again shortly after warranty exspired....the video tutorial is very good, hats off, tje only thing i would add is when you install the new screen and the alignment is not so good if pushing on the plastic dowells won't do it you can manipulate the steel tabs to where you need them or at least i was able to and with a little finesse make all the screws, but all in all very happy with the quality of the product and the tutorial great job cuescreens highly recommend

I guess I am a latecomer. I just did this job this afternoon. Not quite as easy as you all make it look but not difficult either. I had the most trouble getting the unit unplugged. I had 4 plugs but the top one on the driver side gave me fits because it would not release and unlike in you video, on a 2015 ATS, it is hard to get your hands behind the and get a sightline to see what you are doing. Also the trim pieces did not release as easy as it seemed to show. On the video. Once inside, I found mine to be a bit different from the unit in the video but they were minor differences. This video made the job easily doable with a little patience.
