Thanks for taking the time and sharing this video. Well detailed and So helpful.
Great video, it helped alot. 😊👍🏽
Great video, thanks man
Nice video, well done.
Help a lot. Thank you
According to the Arnott instructions, you're not suppose to remove the compression fittings! Just push in the air line until seated. Pull on it to verify

I did the same repair a month ago and they even send an instruction page that shows you that detail with photos. Sorry to say that seal is probably gonna leak on day 1. I wanna see a followup.

You're right about Arnott giving that specific instruction to not remove the fitting and we're supposed to push the air line in. But, the problem is that the line comes right out when you tug on it slightly after pushing it in all the way. I'm going through the same problem with my f85 air springs. After an hour of trying to get the air line to seat properly and not pull out, I've opened the fitting and did the same process the guy in the vid did. Hopefully I don't have any leak issues! 🙏🙏

not sure why that happened, worked well for me. Pushed it far enough that when i tugged on it slightly it was still inside and fully seated. You can obviously pull in out with enough force but the key is only to tug enough to know its fully in, not to test that it wont come out. Im guessing theres some kind of internal seal system that make it air tight from inside. kinda like the copper O-ring that comes off with the stock line. I think those fully engage when the system fully pressurizes.
Great, thanks your video
Thank you well done
really good job, please advise me, I found that the two rear suspension drop 2 times in 1 month, I just pulled the fuse(110) and put it again and the bag returned full of air and the rear suspenion back with full hieght, so is it from the 2bags or something make the bags drops or what ?
Nice!
How long would you say this process takes to change out?
Great video. Isn’t the Arnott considered as OE part? We still need to replace both at the same time?

I still got one more problem about the Boot cover sound when you drive on uneven road
Is there a jack up mode on this model thanks
If it’s deflated do you still need to deflate / disconnect with the wires? Please? Thanks

@galacy-gamer - yes bc otherwise compressor might get triggered during the replacement process and you don't want to keep rubbing the compressor

Hi mate, great video. Unfortunately with my x5 I may have driven the car few month without noticing the leak. Is that something bad for the car?
@SheziMotorsport

@prasannabandara7104 - it all depends how much the air compressor was working all that time, I would worry for the air compressor to go out. I would recommend changing as soon as you have time to preserve the air compressor for the long term.
Hi, my 2016 bmw x5 f15 has an intemitent sag, only sagged twice in two days and been fine for a week or so, what could cause this??

You need new air boots installed. Get the Arnott, don't buy the genuine BMW. Arnott boots are considered an upgrade as it exceeds OE quality and comes with lifetime warranty. Arnott uses Continental Contitech rubbers. These Conti rubber materials are extremely high endurance, it is used on Continental tires and are far superior than what BMW uses.

Boot leaking causing pump to overwork eventually you'll need a pump if not replaced
Hi Thanks for your Video, i have mine to do but have a question if anyone can help. If you remove the fuse guessing that kills power to pump? Can you not drill the old Air Bag to deflate as this is no longer any good, this would then save you remove panels to reveal compressor. Is this acceptable? Look forward to all suggestions.Thanks in Advance.

@graemewatts9090 - bc if you pooyr a hole in the airbag and if any door gets open and car isn't fully asleep it will kick on the compressor so better to take the fuse to be safe
@SheziMotorsport

@graemewatts9090 main goal is to ensure the compressor doesn't turn on.

@@SheziMotorsport mine rear height a bit lower than front.can you do a video how to leveling air suspension ?
@SheziMotorsport
Жыл бұрын
@snoopy - does it auto correct when the car is running or when you start driving? Is the ground almost leveled? Have u checked leveling sensors to ensure they are good? Sounds like leveler sensor issue.
@snoopy81

@@SheziMotorsport I dint change that sensor .if change the sensor,would it be auto leveling back to normal height?
@SheziMotorsport
Жыл бұрын
@snoopy not sure if the issue is with sensor or something else. My thought was maybe sensor leveler is acting up or jammed. Otherwise it should rise normally and stay there unless you are parked in uneven surface
Nice! Is it same item on each side?
@SheziMotorsport

@Rompish1 - yes it is. Just the air line color is different between each side.
I changed both my rear bags now the left in is still sitting low and keep getting the warning message chassis function restricted. @Sam Mead can you please check the driver side connection at the bag that you installed and connection at the compressor ( I can't recall the exact colors but the driver side is red line I think)

@@SheziMotorsport thanks il take it apart and check again today. The bag is solid so it is filling with air just not to the correct hight
If they are going to be replace why can't you just remove the fuse to the air compressor and pierce both air bags to deflate them rather than doing everything else?
@SheziMotorsport
Жыл бұрын
@chris hands - I suppose that's one way to look at it. I made the video for diy purpose where remove and install was done and along with that, my only one side was bad. And I wanted to ensure my air compressor didn't do any extra work at all.
Sir what is the part number?I’m planning to change my 2012 x5 it’s sagging also

Were your Arnott bags equipped originally with push to connect fitting? Why have you decided not to use it? Thanks!

Great. Thanks for reply. I wanted to confirm. So did you actually have to unscrew the fitting from the new bag to install it on the air line or would it be just okay to push it in and be done? The set I got says do not remove the connection. arnottinfo.com/manuals/A-2642.pdf
@SheziMotorsport
2 жыл бұрын
T Ventz - correct new bag has it on and you remove it from there and attach it to hose and fit it there and tighten the screw. But that fitting be very carefully not to bend to much or it will break and you will be out of luck. If your old one is intact keep it as a backup when you replace them. That's odd bc then how would you fit it on there, I would imagine higher chance of breakage.
@KevOzY

@@SheziMotorsport You just need to push the air line into the new air bellows. And don't unscrew the new one. Arnot put a movie of that on youtube
