I didn't need to change for a new battery, but I reset my current one with this video and my laptop now works from battery power. Thank you.

How did you reset it? I saw that some have a tiny button on bottom but mine does not. Did you just open it up and disconnect the battery? I have a critical battery error and it wont charge after depleting the battery.

​​@@benc1927Yeah I disconnected it. There's a slot where you put it back in, mine was in crooked. Sounds like you'll have to outright replace yours though.

I have the an515-44 model and the battery can't hold a charge, stuck at 0%, only stays on when connected to a charger. One thing I dislike about acer computers is that their batteries are complete trash. Wish I could get a better battery but I think I have to buy the same brand and wait another year for it to fail again lol. Thanks for this tutorial !

Good video thanks. One warning though. I had to take everything apart to replace my keyboard and not all the screws are the same length. I thought so too. I mixed up the screws of the interior with the outer lid and result was some screws punched little pimples into the outer surface at the top which was a stupid mistake. Laptop works fine but I wish I kept track better of what screw goes where. Great laptop though.

My benchtops are all covered with commercial grade anti static carpet. Been using it in shop for 25 years. Never a problem. We also trust floors with anti static spray. Staticide. Thx
