I found it helped a lot to unscrew the circular motor unit and leave it hanging out of the way. It is only held on by three T10 screws, so it only takes a minute and hugely improves access to the other four screws that need removing. It is difficult to access the vertical screws using the kind of Torx kit most DIYers have. The bit holder gets in the way. (Maybe that is why one was missing?)

Thanks for this, just followed the tutorial but it seems like it might be the connectors. Wiggled the connection and the lens turn bright for a second but then goes dim again. Anyone have a direction on a fix?

It's a complete unit but they are very cheap.

What window switch are you using to try to open it?

do some videos on VW Touran (2013). also you have no parts for the Touran :-(

Left turn works but dim on my 2012 jetta

I know this isn't the proper place for this, but I want to purchase a 2013 Audi S4 with the 3.0T. but it idiles really rough, idk if this is normal or common, on the forum it is common. But idk. It has 56k miles. 6 speed manual. They want 26k for it. Driving the car seems smooth.

I just replaced my turn signal light using another video on here. But this would’ve been a better one to watch. The wack thing is another GTI owner broke my turn signal in the parking lot opening his door. He looked like an abortion that didn’t take... Edit: but the video I watched was different on my ‘09 TSI GTI. VW changed something’s on the MkV mirror housing

I did it for my '09 Sportwagen (Mk5), that said the '10 SW is Mk6 but I think most parts are interchangeable between the Mk5 and Mk6 SW since the Mk6 SW is based on the Mk5 platform, the differences are the front end and the interior

Nah don't worry I tried it and it pops off without too much difficulty, it doesn't require too much force to remove, in fact it was much harder for me to remove the mirror cover cap

My mk7 mirror came off looks like the glue wore off. Any one know what kinda glue to use for this? Currently using double sided tape! 😂
