I keep hearing about the CV axles popping out, is that really a thing? I have to do my 09 Mazda 3, that part worries me

If you mean popping out of the transmission or knuckle no. If you mean at the joints it’s possible but not usual. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

at 4:45, did you pull the axle out?

No, when the knuckle went forward it pulled the cv axle forward a little bit. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
