Awesome video, only side note, replace the aluminum bracket that the top of the strut/shock assembly seats into with an aftermarket steel bracket.

Easy enough job if you're from Arizona or something. But here in rust country (Wisconsin) I snapped off one of the skinny studs when trying to get the nuts off the mounting bracket. The studs are so corroded you can't even make out the threads. Good video though...

Darn, that sucks. Yeah rust is definitely a pita. What's your plan to remedy it? Drill them out and do a through bolt? Or weld on a new stud?

The bolt in the rear mount is messed up and wont come out, can I cut the screw and replace it, do you have a solution for the problem

  • @thomasd2695

I did this without air tools, I used an 18v Milwaukee impact driver, not an impact wrench, I'm getting noises in the rear now when going over bumps at slower speeds.. My question is do you think my driver got the shock top nut tight enough? Or should I go buy an impact wrench?

The torque spec on those is only 20 ft-lbs, so I doubt that is the problem unless you over-tightened and stripped them.

While you are in the area replace the rear sway bar bushings (poly) and links...worn out for sure by the time your shocks are shot...will ride nice again.
