My Watch ( a Casio AOW-100 Illuminator) ran dry recently - as a poor student i decided to self repair usind a button needle for the twezers and a paper clip fot the ac-(-) conntection - worked out suprisingly well although this cliped helped a lot in terms of the battery braces removal The Casio AOW-100 Illuminator interior seems to be pretty much identical to this one if anyone else had trouble exchanging

Thanks for the response, my watch has not turned on once since I got it.. there is a black plastic slip between one of the batteries not sure if thats suppose to be there? or I'm suppose to remove it, I tried removing it one, but nothing changed. I think these batteries are either dead, or the watch is defective on arrival.

After replacing the batteries, do not go analog clock, a digital work normally. You have the same problem was? It was possible to solve?

Gracias , la pantalla de mi reloj (casio 4738 aqf-102w) se puso la negra y dejo de funcionar y creo que no era por la pila, sino por que manipulando apretando el boton reset y la pantalla se torno negra nose como fue que dejo de funcionar pienso que fue por mala manipulacion y me di un gran susto, lo desarme le quiete las pilas lo volví a armar y lo resetee como en el paso 11 con algunos segundos mas y volvió a funcionar, claro que tuve que configurar nuevamente, pero eso es lo de menos,muchas gracias....

Me gustaría saber cómo poner la hora digital ya que no puedo

I've changed the batteries of my watch which is the same as shown on the video, but after that the only thing that appears on its screen is "TIDE", being unable to change anything as none of those buttons are working. Reset the watch

Changed batteries with no problem, digital works good, but I can't move the analog hands no matter how much I tried, please help! I Any help would be great. Thanks

Also this guide is suitable for casio AQF-101 MODEL 4348 (or 4335) ,with the same technique u can remove the strap of the batteries n replace them easily,only cost is the value of the 2 batteries (very cheap less than 3 euros) except if u don't have delicate fingers and u r like HULK and SMASH things all the time!

cuanta amabilidad, muchas gracias, aun así mi reloj no funciona, quizá era su tiempo de expirar.

*Warning* Don't press too hard with the tweezers when trying to close the battery clip. I pressed to hard and damaged the LCD screen. The hands still work luckily.

Same. The LCD screen shattered.

After Battery change and reset of the watch. Only digital watch works but hands don't move and can't be moved. Any idea how to fix this?

@@fabianchan7 I had send my watch to the Casio service center. They confirmed that the board was damaged due to a wrong hands reset (seems that grounding went wrong). They offered me the same watch as new for 1/2 price. I'm happy with it, it's running for 2 years now. Next battery replacement will be done at a officinal Casio store.

Tested the batteries and one of them doesn't go above 0 on the multi meter, so I guess that is the cause. I'll just buy new batteries~ Thanks again :3

Puede ser un problema mecánico dentro. Limpie con aire a baja presión y verifique que no haya suciedad.

For a best battery. What it's life time.

I have a similar watch, how did you turn the darn thing on to begin with? Also.. did you have to remove the plastic black part to it between the battery and the metal ? It is hard to tell from this video if that is still in place. This watch has zero instructions on the battery or even how to turn the thing on.. sigh.

Yeah so I got it working by replacing the batteries, but apparently according to Casio support only they are qualified to replace the batteries in their watches for "water proofing" reasons. Pssh, should of went with a different watch, who the heck is going to send out their watch VIA mail to replace batteries?
