im creating this new video series called the "How To" series which focusing in doing troubleshoot, repairing, upgrading and improving your WPL rigs..
on this episode, im gonna show on how to repair and improve the only weak point on the new WPL C54-1 RTR new single speed gearbox. I hope you guys find this video useful

Looks like they changed it up a little bit, the 2 gears you hold at 0:57 are molded as one gear on mine. Also the plastic is not as white as seen on video, its a lot more yellow-ish. Maybe they saw that as a weakspot and fixed it.Quite impressive.

This probably quite a late reply.. haha.. been busy lately with non RC stuff.. but im glad my repairing method works. I will post more videos in the future.. stay tuned!

Thanks for the tip! I have the same problem and was considering replacing the stock gearbox with the 2-speed gearbox, but I will try your idea first!

I still used the stock gearbox even after 6 months.. but i jusy swapped it with the C34 gearbox and put the C54 gearbox on my C24.. i love that gearbox especially with a 370 motor.

Thanks! This also applicable on your wpl axle gear.. Instead of using superglue, you use red threadlock..
Does the counter rotating gearbox eliminate torque twist?

This is a great fix! Have you ever repaired the stock plastic wheel hexes this way? My C24 rear hex is slipping on the axle. Do you have a link to the 370 motor you used on your C54-1? 👍

Yes.. that is also an easy fix.. kept the wheel screwed on the hex and pull it with the loosen hex.. put a dab of super glue and let it cure for 15 minutes and you're good to go..
What motor are you using have any links to it

Any 370 motor would do.. the one i have here is something that i found in my toolbox of parts.. so i dont exactly remember where i got them.
Their new update to the gear box has changed that the gear has a additional shaft to it

They're wpl C34 wheels.. i painted the mid section in chrome.. tires are B36 kit tires
