A harrow works pretty well and leaves it smoothed out. Old tire chains work good for making one.

That, my friend, is the cats ass! NICE. I totally understand you didn’t build it for commercial work, ergo materials are what you had, like the engineering. Very cool. Gives me some great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

You could slowly reel the winch in if you need to raise the wood instead of taking the log off and it will slightly raise the wood off the ground as if you took 1/4 of the log off at a time so it would adjust the weight instead of it all coming off. You already have it setup for it might as well use it

Thank you for the awesome video. My property has a gravel area for parking cars, measuring 160 square meters. I've been looking for a way to mechanically remove weeds from this area. I have been thinking a garden tiller for the task. My idea is to turn the soil over, so the weeds get buried and die. What do you think about this? Thanks for your help!

Maybe you could put a piece of metal on the back that sticks down to touch the ground (Like a box blade). Might cut up the extra step for you. But cool idea and design. Looks a lot better.

That's a great idea. I started out doing something like that in my first design but my atv couldn't pull it without overheating, it's only a 250. Maybe now that I've got a utv I will revisit that idea

I was thinking a piece of angle iron with one edge of it bolted to the bottom side of the 2x8 or 6” he has and that would put the other edge in the dirt so the 90° is from front to back

Outstanding! I have a 450ft gravel driveway on my property, and we usually bring in a skid steer to re-grade after the winter plowing season. With this device, you are free to touch things up a few times a year without spending excessive $$$
@joejones28472 жыл бұрын
Is there a reason you showed two different sections of the driveway? You showed the narrow section when you were plowing the weeds and then when you smoothed the stone you showed the wider longer section that was already pretty nice.
@easywaytodothings
2 жыл бұрын
The wider section had a few weeds in it so I was digging up the roots a little so they would die. Also I'll try lifting the winch a little with the log on, the extra weight will probably work well to keep it from bouncing. Good idea!!

Do you have any plans on how you made thi nice bit of kit ?
@easywaytodothings
2 жыл бұрын
I didn't do any plans on it, I just customized it to my atv hitch height. All I know is the t posts are cheap and very good for digging up stone and it doesn't pull that hard on the machine like the 45 degree scarfire blades that most drags use.
