I have one MI-4 that’s stuck in vibration mode. I have another one, but I’d like to figure out what’s up with it and get it working properly. Nice video!

Does the MI4 that’s stuck in vibration mode have sound? Have you tried going into the setup and changing the mode on the pinpointer, in case it’s somehow malfunctioned?

My MI6 volume is very low and use it for a while and it just stops working nothing when you push the button and it was fully charged

Hi, thanx u very much for the video, my Pinpointer buzzer doesntwork could somebody tall me where to found it or the technic specifications of the buzzer(voltage...), or where to buy it

Contact your nearest XP DEUS agent and see if they can supply the buzzer part. As per the video, it’s very easy to replace. If the buzzer still doesn’t work after that (and you’ve checked the settings to make sure vibration is enabled), then it might be an issue on the circuit board, and that would be much more difficult to resolve.

Nice video, how long does the pp last with a rechargeable battery? I'm leary of buying a rechargeable pp ,but I hear this is a good pp

I'd say 3-4 years with regular use, and most of the PP's with a rechargeable battery are designed so that the battery can be easily swapped out.

Which type of problem can be after 4 months using it if i move it and contact with ground now it beeps and vibrates, so when I a hole I have to be very careful and don't touch ground or soil... for having a correct detection. Can it be something internal after some falls of pinpointer in hard terrain?

Is this happening in other locations? It might be that you are currently detecting in an area with high mineralisation and it is setting off your pinpointer. If this is happening, try a quick single press of the power button with the pinpointer against the ground - this will de-tune it in highly mineralised soil…

@@coilsandcoinsdetecting this happens to me in a very dry terrain, initially doesn't sounded on smooth ground contacts. This solution works for me a quick single press stops sounding....but it is very strange the change of pointer behaviour, I guess it could be caused by hits from my trousers to the ground...and something misaligned inside...

I will try in other locations but I think in all locations happens.

Ok quick question when pin pointer is off the led keeps flashing is it supposed to ?

  • @coilsandcoinsdetecting

Yes, it's normal for the LED to flash briefly every 4 seconds or so when it's OFF. I believe this indicates that the pin-pointer has charge, and uses almost no power at all.

Sounds faulty. Try turning it on while holding it against the ground to see if that helps.

Yeah, mine was pretty tight to begin with too, but I've taken it off so many times that it has loosened up a bit now.

It is very tight from the factory. You can buy a small tube of silicone grease at your local hardware, automotive or Home store. Putting a little silicone around the rubber o-ring and gasket will help reduce the effort needed to unscrew the cap....and it will ensure that the device stays watertight.
