Thank you for this. This is exactly what happened to my BiTDI A6. The button Had slipped out of its housing and required slotting back in. You can only do it from behind, so taking out the glove box sorted everything. The funny thing is AUDI told me it was broken and the whole unit needed replacing. To me 15 mins to fix after watching the video and no new parts needed. Many thanks Amigo

Why did you skip the removal process for the plastic panel before removing the screws?

No need to take out aluminium rim...you risk to damage it like me...wheels ca be fixed back in position from behind only

Re video at ‘REPAIR PLASTIC’ - have you added something that is not normally there to effect the repair?

You don’t have to do all this! There is a hole inside each side of the vent. Simply insert a hook tool in each side and slowly pull it out, beginning with the right side. When pulling out the left side do it slowly because there is a wire that needs to be unplugged behind it. When you’re done putting the wheel back into place and reattaching the gear, simply plug the wire back in and push the vent assembly back in. yes but the hole on the left side is nearly impossible to reach a hook into

Thank you SO much!! Your link showed me what I needed to do to fix my vent wheel. The 2 holes where easy to reach and i pulled out the entire vent. I glued the wheel in place so it doesn't slip out again. Wheel fixed!!

mialem to samo z prawa kratka. Troche sie z tym motales nie trzeba demontowac schowka. Kratke jak dobrze podwazysz to wyjdzie tak jak podwazales (np karta telefoniczna) czasami jak na twoim przykladzie wyskoczy obwodka chromowa ale podwazajac dalej kratka wychodzi bez problemu. Kolko wystarczy wcisnac w swoje gniazdo i wczepic ciegno od kolka i wszystko dziala.

Lub zdemontować schowek i wcisnąć kółko do kratki, u mnie to wystarczyło bez demontażu obwódki nawiewu

you need to first slot the bottome hooks in and slightly bend the unit and pry it in
