Works brilliantly, I was locked out of edge. I couldn't delete everything from the folder so I moved what was left to a flash drive just in case. I have not had a problem as of yet. I will keep you informed. Highly recommended

Thanks, this works fine as long as you follow the steps clearly. My Microsoft Edge kept opening up tabs, your flash drive is out of date etc. Now I'm not having any problems, thanks again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! It worked!! It wasn't exactly how my laptop was but I used common sense and the comments in the comment section and it worked! I called HP and was on the phone for 1 hr and 30 mins. Nobody could help me. They transferred me 3 times and just told me to turn on and off the laptop and they didn't know what was wrong. HP couldn't even help me but your 4 minute video did! Thanks so much! I just got it today and was so bummed and thought I would have to return it

raisingbabydiaz HP is absolutely disgusting and a horrible company that should be shut down. They make their laptops poor quality and the engineers working for them are disgustingly lazy. I’m never buying an HP laptop again.

After reading through different help sites and trying proposed solutions, none of which worked, this one did. Reinstalling Edge allowed me to reset Cortana, too, which also had not been connecting to the internet. Great solution and not that difficult, providing that you have a browser that works so you can follow along, pausing when necessary as you do the preparatory work in Windows for the reinstall. Good instructions.

I had a completely black screen in edge starting today and this worked for me. Thanks !

It totally worked for me, I want to say thank you.. I had one of those stupid Microsoft edge browser virus warnings. Fake warnings and alerts are haunting some Microsoft Edge users with sticky pop-up alerts. These pop-ups may vary from simple software endorsements up to a highly fraudulent phone support scam. One thing that terribly affects web browser is the malware’s ability to alter Microsoft Edge settings that makes fake warnings to show up as a default page or tab. The malware also freezes the current window to prevent users from navigating away from the page. If follow the step by step tutorial it works.... Thanks once again.

I had the same issue.. i just went inside that folder and deleted everything inside the folder.. then backed out and deleted the folder itself.. but after rebooting and reinstalling .. it didnt fix my problem.. sigh..

Awesome job MDTechVideos! I did however get an error that was all scribbled in red. This told me that myself as an Administrator was denied access to that particular folder as that of the one you instructed to delete, but this is another one that is also in SystemApps. That was the error shown in Windows Powershell in red. What I had to do was to go to that folder in SystemApps and right-click on it and then go into Properties. I clicked on my username and set it to Allow and then click to Apply. This enables me to access that folder. I then proceeded with your instructions in Windows Powershell. This time it worked! What happened beforehand was that I caught malwares which it screwed up the Microsoft Edge and made it inaccessible. If this happens to anyone, I encourage you to use Malwarebytes to run to get rid of malwares BEFORE you attempt to use MDTechVideo's instructions.I also had to do a little correction by closely looking at what MDTechVideo put into the Windows Powershell and it is a little different from what he posted below his video. Here is the correction I have done with the use of Microsoft Word:Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}
