Would this work for the led light fixtures?

I just repaired one but it was not the LED's it was the chip resistors, cold solders. I fluxed the areas and reheated the connection and the bulb lit right up. The only way to see the cold solders is with an eye loupe. The company was Ecosmart.

Safety first.switch off the switch.n remove the bulb then use blade are anything.otherwise you will get shock.without precautions

You should not just short the circuit where the LED was. This working makes this a serial circuit, by shorting it the total voltage on the string will be divided over the remaining LED's, blowing them up in no time. Just solder in a new LED!

You mean turn power off? Save your (their) life? Everything past the voltage reduction point, the driver, isn't dangerous voltage. Of course, if it was all exposed when opened up, yes, power down. Don't do a quick fix in a downpour, though. At least, don't ground oneself out.

BTW, I worked with low-high voltage electrician. He'd sometimes replace fixtures and components live. As long as he stayed insulated, didn't get sloppy, and ground the fixture out he'd be find. And even if he did, he always worked safe. His gloves, shoes, and tools kept him insulated from current exposure if somehow the circuit became closed.

I saw another YT video to get the bulb off. I took a steak knife and place the blade where the bulb connects then rolled the bulb as I gently pushed the knife blade. Eventually, 5 or 6 rolls There was enough glue weakened that I could pop the top off.
