I had a dead screen on my s5 mini. Using this video I was able to locate where the connector was. Top right near the power button. I didn't need to remove the screen. Turns out the connector had just got dislodged when I dropped the phone. After pushing down on the screen at that point in the top right it reconnected and came back to life. Try that first!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had an AT&T S5 with a bad screen and a bad S5 international with a good screen. I was able to swap screens perfectly and restore my AT&T S5 mini. For under $10, I ordered "Ewparts 24 in 1 Universal Screwdriver Set Screen Removal Opening Repair Tool Kit" from Amazon and it contained everything I needed included double sided tape. So happy to have my S5 mini back.

Good tutorial, that is missing two things - you need to remove the bottom button and top speaker grill from the old screen and attach them to the new screen.

I ordered the whole screen but it didn't come with adhesive. What does everyone use?

Hi. I heated the LCD too much and the adhesive melted a bit in the corner that separates the touch screen. The LCD is not broken its the mother board I was removing. Is there anything I can do to fix this , or do I have to replace the touch screen? It doesn't show up too bad when the phone is switched on but looks yellow when it's off

I'm not sure what this is supposed to accomplish? The internal replacement screen stick on covered over some of the connectors so I had to cut it. It doesn't seem to make an once of difference to the thing. Do I have to take out any internal replacement screen first? Not sure if all the steps have been shown here. Doesn't seem to remind viewers to loop the first connector back through. Probably easier just to get a second hand replacement phone unless you're up with all this stuff.

After you replace the front screen is the phone still able to go underwater as the stock version of the galaxy s5?

I'm afraid it's not, you can try add some waterproof glue(like B-7000 glue) on it after repair

i did the same thing and after a few months my screen started tl shiw different colors and then a few more months it shows a black screen. do u know any ways to fix it?

What this is repairing is the S5 Mini. It just mentions that the LCD Screen is the piece that must be replaced ta do so.
