WTF are you talking about! He doesn"t tell you how to chisel out full set expoxy boards, wilst looking out for the elctronics in order to be able to do any of this shit, he chooses the EASIEST component to work on ... I call BS this doesn't help at all.

As a professional electronics tech… I literally sat here dumbfounded for the first 60 seconds of the video. I had NO IDEA this was satire and honestly Got confused, and that weird dizzy feeling like I’m in a dream or something. i’m constantly hearing crazy off-the-wall shit and advice from inexperienced folks on the Internet… especially in regards to circuit troubleshooting. But your delivery was so bland and dead pan… I was just kind of blown away to the point of questioning my own electronics knowledge for a second 😂 like a really bad case of déjà vu or feeling like you just walked into the twilight zone!!! Damn some of your videos are hilarious but I honestly wonder how many folks have completely fucked up their shit because they had no idea it was satire 😂 this is comedy gold

All theese years i v been putting the faulty rectifiers under my pillow during the night, and the rectifier fairy always takes them and leaves me a dollar.... but not any more! Thank you! You r a life saver. But you already know that....

You know I’ve always been kind of scared of fixing electronics, but now I feel like I have the power to fix my beta machine with a tape stuck in it. Thanks man! Badass!!

I noticed he repaired the only one with a removable backing. And never said one word about the 3 other normal rectifiers that we all have that cannot be accessed from the back.

Two thumbs up. I've found that if you fill the casings of rectifiers with water before reassembly it helps keep them cool.

hey dude great job , I have a question! My battery keeps getting overcharged and the caps pop off and smoke commes out. Is this also a problem because of the rectifier regulator ?

Thank you for a great video. But what is this thing i found on my sled? it's called aac6003, and it has only two wires.I took a look at the pantera's electrical because it keeps blowing headlights, but the rest of the electrical is ok, which is why i suspected that it was not the reg/rec that was shot. Thankful for any answer

There should be a motorbike industry walk of fame, and Mister ItchyBum should definitely be immoratilsed on it with a bum print. (British English: bum = US English fanny. US English: bum = an individual who drinks wine under a concrete highway bridge. British English: fanny = front bottom. US English: fanny = back bottom. I mean bum = fanny = back bottom).

Surprised you did not check the smoke capsule inside the rectifier unit. If anything goes wrong the rectifier ruptures it to signal to the user it has failed. Some have a scent not unlike burning wood added to give a visual and sensory failure warning. After overhauling the rectifier it is important to replace the smoke capsule to reset the failure warning system. I keep a stock of spare smoke capsules in my shop as seem to need a lot of them when working on older bikes.

I think you got this wrong. As far as I know, the actual cause of electronics breaking is when the smoke leaks out. That's why I always make sure that my electronic devices are properly sealed. Unfortunately lots of electronic equipment have big holes in them. I suspect it is part of the "planned obsolescence" that most manufacturers deal with in order to sell more product. They intentionally let the smoke out. Shame on them!

@@LinusNil I've just drilled a hole in mine and piped it up to a smoke machine so should last years now, if on a motorcycle just pipe it directly to your exhaust pipe

I wish I had found this before I bought a new reg/rec. I had no idea! lol

for all those who are having trouble finding shims online (myself included). just use foil paper. You can paint it with metallic paint or cover with gold flakes for better electron flow. just remember to seal the gold with hodge podge. you can get everything needed from your local craft store.

Could you please add a testing video so I can determine if my rectumfrier is working or not. BTW, you could upgrade to gold for higher voltage output.

OMG I was crying for joy from the micro collider ring. While I don't have a chronological machine, my flux capacitor IS broken, but I can't find the proper size micro collider. Can you please shed some light on what to do in this predicament? Or where you source from in this case?

Been working on my 2000 Harley and had to remove the battery and the rectifier.. now i’m putting back everything but when i try to connect the rectifier output wire to the battery positive (like it used to be) it sparks like i’m shortening the battery leads .. not sure what’s going on! Any advice would be helpful

Damn, I've been in electronics over 50 years and that is the most entertaining video I've ever seen.

If you don't have any electrical grade assembly glue you can always use a elbow grease proof, water resistant, metal grade wood glue with the same results.

My drz 400 dies after 5 seconds, (i serviced carb before this) light flickers and throttle is bogging.... is it rectifier?

I used a plumbus to rectify my shim and it's working fine - all 6 ounces of electricity are a flowing!

People have been asking about this comment at work. Guys, make sure your Plumbus is not faulty before you rectify your shim, I had one guy trying this exact thing with a 2 year old Plumbus that was obviously worn out from mechanical TNR 3's.

Could this be draining my 4 wheeler battery? Did you just touch the light to the diodes?

I have one from a 2012 scooter and I hooked it up backwards and it smoked it . I did buy like 3 of the 4 pin ones from the internet but they do not work Very well .and if I look up the #s on the back I can not find The same one and my battery will die . Any idea of the part I will need to replace from it being hooked up backwards ?? And thanks much

Yea mate , thanks for the vid but the only one you fix , is the one nobody really uses anymore , but you do show the newer ones that you can’t fix because they’re solid state , or are they , so any chance you can show how to crack them open ? Do you cut away the back resin.

How to repair the other type with the fin (heat sink) that is hard at the back.

What about the bullkey metal ones?

did you check the bearing inductor, is very important so it will extend life of the rectifier, and a little grease wont hurt keep things rolling, bad ass, you are incredible.
