It really is great stuff after using a45,highly recommend
I'd love to see an example of building a small ramp with it.
What material is on the back of the levelling board to stop the mortar sticking to the wood? Looks like foil?
I can’t seem to find the fine grit you use at your stockists so will sharp sand work in a similar way?
Great video. How much repair mortar did that sill use (5kg or 11kg bag) and what sized aggregate bag did you use also? Did you use the course of fine aggregate? Thanks

Many thanks Mark, I remember we mixed up 2x 11kg bags for the shoot, but I can't remember how much he had left to be honest. You can use it with an equal volume of ARDEX Coarse Aggregate, or 3mm single sized chippings, or a third volume of sharp sand (0-5mm grading). A 11kg bag will produce approximately 8 litres of mortar neat. A 5kg bag will produce about 3.6 litres.
Nice job!! Can I buy from Wickes or other DIYstore?

Sorry for the late reply. You won't find ARDEX A 46 in DIY stores but can search for your nearest stockist here ardex.co.uk/services/stockist-locator/ We'd advise giving the branch a call to check stock first.
How do you use Ardex on vertical sections of the window casement?

Hi Roger/Sally Lackaff/Hayes, A 46 can be used on vertical or even on overhead repairs. Apply the mortar with a trowel to holes, cracks and damaged areas, ensuring that trowelingin firmly, leaving the repair proud. After approximately 10 minutes, at 20°C, or when sufficiently firm trim off excess and finish with a wet trowel, sponge or sponge float to obtain a smooth surface. The trick is to press it in firmly to ensure a good bond.
Is this suitable to use externally?

Hi Purn P - Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use this externally too. For example on drain surrounds, concrete steps, render repairs and so on.
