I would tape down the area underneath and then place the sock. Great idea!

Thanks for the suggestion. Although mine seem to stay in place, I can see where the tape would be very helpful.

@@MakeItorBreakItNow repair, to fix or mend. There’s no difference of opinion when it comes to the fact that nothing was fixed and nothing was mended. The damaged item was covered up. No hate for using a cover, if that satisfies you go for it. My issue is with you claiming this is a repair when it’s not, thus misleading people to believe that your video will show them how to repair.

Your video title says repair and there is no repair in this video always is is a cheap fix that makes your car look like crap. For less than $50 you can buy a brand new one and I'm talking about a high price Lexus vehicle that's what they are going for around $65. You should really do your research before you start a repair because buying new a lot of the times is the much better option. Here is a link to an armrest of a Lexus right side armrest. I don't know what kind of car you have but all you have to do is search. You can even purchase a leather repair kit that would make that look close to New if you know what you're doing. I am just giving you an example I'm sure you can find a cheaper armrest but even at $67 I would spend the money to make my car look really nice instead of having a sock that is a different color then your interior. Also as soon as you move your arm forward your sock is going to come off and you're going to be fighting with it all day. There's some things that you need to buy brand new and some things you don't this is not one of those things. But tire is one of those things if you get a flat you patch it you don't have to buy a new one especially if that tired is brand new. www.ebay.com/itm/184562640727?itmmeta=01HS55B9H8BZA33YQS4X2PFM50&hash=item2af8ca6757:g:9WIAAOSwYsJdrzj1&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8E2nPEV%2FrZVfb09HLzYTMV0kwJQvYFyQN6Ttw3LRBqFlJm6o6z20Hc0wG0t89cgg73tRjmqMI7pcWUhNgO4VnSRSF5g7ijIk6vRqZzQfXWOfA3JN5N%2FO6N7zM%2F51JTlfq2M3IxNsCbR2f%2BOnqeUZ%2FvoBGxre1JGlFii%2FtY8uk5foEYUW%2FKW9HIt8ncCUeup0LFGefTw7RidLt9PYEoKwPIKXx9gDKsq%2BGFlJV1CzukxfsNcI6ObYwGmqKVwTsbCiAlcugAN9RtYriqgMY%2FAWvu05rtUJQGvwlN%2FwsC5ukEpF1GabKrA2sEpAznRQbOpjkw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBM3pmtpclj

Thanks for sharing, your points are well taken. For those who have the money your option above is a better solution, but not everyone can or wants to purchase the parts, and that's why I did this video. BTW this solution is still going strong years later and the socks haven't slipped off when installed properly. Plus if they get dirty you can take them off and wash them.

@@MakeItorBreakItNow Anyone can do whatever they want I am just getting done a better way to do it for Aesthetics. If you don't care about your car and you don't care how it works and possibly you don't have the money to do what I told people to do then you can a pair of matching socks socks but you're not going to get the exact same color as your interior. It all depends on what car you have and how anal you want to get to fix as you will be using your armrest every day. If you want to save money and you're not going to have the car for a long time I would say use the leather patch kit but I replace my vehicles. To me putting a sock on your arm rest is just a quick fix until you either replace the armrest or do what I said and use the leather repair kit. I like the way you think though it's all about ingenuity in common sense and that's what you have accomplished. Most vehicles that have a armrest on the right side of their seat the car is usually a high-end car that is the reason why I said to just replace it because it's going to look like crap on your Lexus.
