A superb review....Well done! I've just ordered the Top-of the -Range Iconic model in th UK (with that excellent Heat Pump). It was a straight choice between a Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3 or the Megane, all were the same price.....No contest! The sterile, poor build quality, horrid interior, ugly Tesla is so dated compared to the Renault. It's tech is so 'yesterday'. Brilliant move by Renault going to the experts, Google! (You can't beat Phone Tech!) By the way, Renault say the 0-60 time is 7.5 Sec, but independent reviewers have clocked it at 6.9 Sec (that's Mini Cooper S territory, but with that lovely instant torque).......how typically French, underplaying!

Awesome! I'm looking at the Techno range on Motability but the Iconic is £1000 more. Do think it's worth it? I'm so excited about the specification. Details like having a flat bottom steering wheen means it's easier to get out of.

@@Maria-bb7xv Good choice Maria! The Iconic has lot's of lovely extra's, such as the heat pump for the winter. But it's worth it only if you need the extra benefits. It could be that the Techno is all the car that you'll ever need. And it is so well equiped. Also the Megane is one of the lightest EV's on the market, due to half the car being Aluminum and the use of Carbon Fibre. So that makes the battery more efficient. And the beauty of the Motability Scheme is that everything else is payed for and taken care of. The only cost you have is a bit of electricity.....win, win Maria....Enjoy❤️

I picked up one of these on Friday. You don't get the 100% power unti roughlyl 35mph... from 30mph to 70mph is unbelievable!! Instant torque so strong my mobile flew out of the charging tray!! As I say, the power increases from 0mph up to 35mph so the 0-60 time isn't a true reflection. It certainly feels like 220hp!!

@Paris__ so I got a puncture last night.... i have an issue because Kwik-fit don't stock this size at all!! The tyre is unique to this car. 215/45/20. Anyway it's been plugged by the RAC with 40mph maximum speed. Hoping that kwik-fit can get one in today. Just my luck!! You will love it though.

Otherwise you need your electrician to change the amp output in your installation for the charger.

How do you drive an automatic Renault Mégane etexh

Hi I have Renault Megane iconic from dealer last week. As long I know range is 280mi, but I’m unfortunately mine mevzine showing on display 100%- 235mi full charge, I’m so confused how come 🤷‍♂️ Please kindly let me know I missed something?

280 miles is a theoretical range achieved only in test conditions. Actual range is always less due to all the variables in real world driving. My Megane came with 100% charge and showed 220 miles range so you’re doing ok with 235.

Anyone bought an e-tech and having problems with the app ? The app worked great on the Zoe but even with Android version 12 tech support can't get the app to work with my new Megane. Can't precondition or check the staus of the battery. Still love the car it's fantastic but very very disappointed with the app which is basically no control just online guides and videos

Took delivery of my Megane two days ago. My android app shows battery range. I've set it to start charging at 9pm this evening and no reason to suppose it won't. Not had chance to test pre-heating the cabin yet. So much to learn!

Yes I’m having problems with the app. I need to restart the app every time for it to connect to the car. It only does pre heating. The battery icon is not active. Moreover the hillstart assist is not available on the multimedia to put it on/ off. The multimedia help line are very courteous but could not sort it out as yet. Looks like we got a less functionalities in uk compared to the EU models? The car as such drives very well. The range is only 190 odd miles in the current weather

@@harishshanker2721 Been experimenting with range. A friend suggested turning off the heating and using the heated seats. This has improved range by 29% from a calculated 170 miles to 233 miles. Heated seat works well but need thick trousers [or a bit of heat just for the foot-well.]

Mike, sounds like you’re angry about what 🇬🇧 market aren’t getting 😂 you’re also not getting the heat pump which is now std in the EU mkt. The fact it doesn’t have a pan roof annoys me too. Strange decisions preventing what could’ve almost been perfection 🤡

The screen I can live with more annoyed that we get 1 interior trim in the UK which is that terrible Grey on seats and dash 😡 it would have been a bigger seller and probs untouchable if we had the France version

RE The screen I understand it is easy to catch your knee on the larger screen. I have actually bought a launch edition and I actually prefer the UK screen I think the way it lines up with the other screen I think it actually looks better. Given a free choice I would have actually gone for the smaller screen

@@TeesTrev Isnt an issue with the LHD version and has never been mentioned in over 15 reviews I’ve seen on KZread and many more on line. For me the small screen looks very average and is poor form on Renaults part and also the reason I wouldn’t buy one now.
