I wear a lot of captive bead ring jewelry. the bead is held in place by the sides of the ring. The sides of the ring are slightly closer together than the widest part of the bead. However, the bead has two dents on either side. They are directly across from each other, and the jewerly "works" because the sides of the hoop press into the dents on the bead. When you remove a captive bead from your nose, you need to pop the bead out. Then, you'll be able to see the gap in the hoop. move that gap over your piercing and see if it comes out. Some nostrils have cartalige that is wider than the gap in the hoop. (That is how my nose is). If that is the case, you will need to physically pull the sides of the ring out, widening the gap. Widen it until you can slide it out of your piercing. If you have to widen the jewerly, you will need to push it back together again when you put it back in! Personally, I do not like captive bead rings in my nostril for that reason. but that is how you take it out!

I just learned that I overtipped my piercer by watching this video. I learned that he put a labret piercing in my nose. Used the worst kind of jewelry for my nose( threaded. I can't remove it at home because I can't get a grip on either end it's way too big. I'm going to have to go back and have them remove it just to put another piece of jewelry in. Thanks to this video I now know which piece of jewelry to go with next.

I’ve had a seam ring in my nose for almost two years now. When it got put in, it was very tender and sore for a couple weeks. This made me think it wasn’t finished healing. One day I woke up, and I couldn’t move the ring whatsoever. I haven’t been able to make it into a piercing shop to have it looked at, but have you seen this happen before? If so, is there anything I can do from home? Thank you!

Bless this video. My nose studs are only 3 weeks old, and I was cleaning today. So, my allergies were nuts and one of the bar parts came out in a gob of snot!! I can't get it back in and have had issues keeping them tight. They're the internally threaded ones, so I think I'll try to get a threadless one and ask my piercer to put that one in instead. Currently, I've got an earring in it to keep it from closing.

I’ve been trying to remove my labret piercing on my own for a while now without having to go back to the shop, but I’m struggling because I don’t know if it’s the threadless style or if it’s threaded. I believe it’s threadless, but it hurts when I try to take it out & I can’t get a good grip on it 😕

Go see your piercer if you can't get it! Good luck!
