Yet again I need to say thank you for posting. Your videos are making me less worried about working on my car myself. A brilliant channel.
The string trick to remove the injector was awesome. Saved a ton on not needing to buy a new tool. Love your videos!
Ive watched a lot of your vids and they are pretty spot on and very helpful as i have had certain problems with my mitsubishi grandis (VW/AUDI 2.0 TDI ENGINE) keep it up m8 :)
Great stuff, nice to see you using 'normal tools' rather than expensive vw tools :-)

Thank you very much! I learned what's inside the engine 1.9 TDI
So helpful! Will be watching your vids as I rebuild a pd motor
you make it look so easy, so I'm going to give it a try tomorrow. Thanks!
Thank you for your kind words.
brilliant video. there are so many videos out there that all say you need the special tools for things like this. I know some jobs require a special tool but , as you just proved, not all do. thanks for sharing the knowledge. It's been really helpful.
Brilliant vid, thank you. I’ve currently got a Passat CR170 that’s spent 170k miles on the motorway, I’m expecting to do some maintenance soon. Thank you for the vid.
Thanks so much I appreciate your training and I should proudly say your are one of the best trainers I have ever found simple, straightforward and technical informative...

Had to sign in to like the video! Nicely explained mate :)
Great - nice and simple and clearly explained.
It means Pumpe duse. Yes i should have said it will be in my shop, still building it at the moment. Than you for your email, I always appreciate your comments.
good video mate - helped me understand how to get them out
Awesome video.......I have a junk engine (BEW code) that I kave been messing around with. This video helped out alot. I am removing all the expensive parts from the engine and saving them for a good engine.
Thank you...I am currently removing the head of my BRM PD MK5, (ate a bunch of timing belt teeth before 100K). Scant precise information on the BRM repair processes, such as how to actually remove the injector electrical connectors, and DIY removal technique using the rope ;) It was clear and very helpful. PS one thread I read suggested putting a piece of rag in the oil return holes in the front of the head by the injectors. It said IF anything fell down the hole it is a major PITA to get it out.
I appreciate the comment, thank you
thanks mate, love the rope trick by the way!
just simple and PERFECT! thanks for posting and best regards!

Another awesome video bud cheers
Great video, thank you so much. I was searching how te remove them...
Well, I've just finished after removing the injector loom and testing all injectors. I found the 2nd injector from the offside to be faulty. My next problem is... The difficulty in obtaining the injector from a breakers yard. As they just won't take the time to remove them or allow you to remove them. They just want to sell the whole engine. It takes the joy out of the enjoyment you have given me with your solid instruction and video. However, many thanks from an old wanabe mechanic. Subscribed and liked.
Bang on mate helped a lot !
Brilliant! Simply explained and very helpfull. You should be on the telly :-)
thank you very much! the rope technique was very good!
Nice explaining of the job
Thanks man great videos keep it up subcribed and liked!

Excellent
I would like to add... That I've sourced an injector from company on ebay and got it for £30. I made a few errors putting the injector in by over tighting the injector retaining bolts, as I broke one. I did however get myself out of trouble. I found that there was a few other things to remove when removing injectors while the engine is still in the car. To you I say again, "Thank you very much your help, as your a role model for young lads to look up by giving something back." To thoese like me doing this job. Don't do what I forgot to do. And that is, "Always put clip back on the turbo hose as it makes all the difference to the power of the car." My car drives like a new car now and goes like a rocket.

I like this sumple explenation.
Gj mate. Tnx for upload the video.
Great videos, Thanks for the help.
can you do a video of how to adjust the valve clearance on this engine please ur videos r always clear to see how u do it thanks
Great video thx!
A seat belt strap works perfectly for removing the injectors also rock them left to right multiple times to free them slightly
TOPP ...... ! Thank you.
U got some really good vids there boyo wish u did one on the engine removal as I can't find a single one on hear
great video thanks
Thanks, just took mine out with your help. I have found that by loosening it up by pressing with a screwdriver from side to side repeatedly until it was very loose, then used a pry bar and it popped out. Hope this detail will help someone else too,
Clear and Concise! I'm thinkig I have to change a "wiring harness" for my injectors to stop a stupid juddering problem I've got when going over 3000 revs (and the ESP light comes on), have you got a video for that please?
nice video..very helpful

lewis eyers Watch my oher injector removal video. It may help you even more
My personal 2 recommendations/tips 1. When taking off the injector wiring loom( 1.25 ) use a pliers to pull on the tab have done this meany times never had any issues and easier to do 2. Sometimes injectors are more stuck than that tie a medium sizehammer to the end of the rope and use it as your slide hammer and it slide hammer and it works 100% of the time
great information
very nice video, thanks
that rope trick is clever
great video cheers
The easier way to pop the injectors out is with a heel bar, hooked under the solenoid. I have popped all four out in 15 seconds, and it's more graceful that having them fly into the air.
You've helped me no end...my of 130 is running well ...thank you 👍👍
Dude you van make a special tool from the clamp/retainer tha holds the injector down. Works great.
amazing video
Very impressive channel, I thought I would say thanks for all the tips....

Thanks for the support
great. thank you.
Unfortunately not, but I took your advice and it is one of the Injectors. Using your video to remove it would have worked this morning but there is an engine part in the way... (the exhaust manifold? - the bit that goes into the EGR valve from the front of the car..) So I'm off to Halfords so they can sell me the right tool to get into that nook and remove that particular bolt! :)
nice job
Never knew it was that easy

I have a 2004 jetta tdi. it started cutting out. sometimes you can drive it 10 miles before it starts. and sometimes you can drive it hundred of miles and it wont do it. and sometimes it just starts right off the back doing it. do you have any ideas on what this might be? thanks jeana
Very good and excellent video, how much more difficult if engine was in situe though but good video
him, you can do a video with mounting the injectors and their regulation thanks
good thanks
Another helpful video! Does it matter what order they go back in? Or are they all the same?
Hmmmn I see that your engine does not have a whole lot of stuff near , on, or around the valve cover that prevents an easy access like you demonstrated. Nice video clear and interesting.
Thanks mate Great video, I managed to take out the injector using your trick. Really helpful stuff. I found the injector spring not spring loaded anymore and the car was smoking, could it be the problem for the car to smoke? And the glow plug is wet
thanks for your video when the injector goes faulty, does it knock? rattle?
can you do a video on the tappet adjustment on this engine please
How about a video on fitting them?
Great video. What are the torque #s for rockers? Also, (like others who have asked) is there a re-seating video?
It only matters about the order you TIGHTEN them in. Not undoing them. And it's usually only more if a thing with attaching the HEAD TO THE BLOCK. Not the crappy little rocker cover which usually doesn't go on very tight anyway.
thanks for the information. i have a code on a 2005 jetta TDI for the #4 cyl i was ging to change the #4 to the #3 spot to see if i get a code or it is the wiring on the #4 if it was the wiring how do you replace that? or is there also adjustments on the injector i can do? thanks for your time
i like this channel, i can learn alot to fix my car also, it has to much problems on the engine. but the red Oil lamp is lighting up, i cant tell what the service is telling because it is in german -_- i have changed the oil, changed the filter, etc. but the oil is screaming out about something i dondt know. and how do i fix gear problems? i have huuuuuge problem to gear down to 1 or 2. to get there i have to make my car stand still and put it on reverse then gear up to 1. wen i once gear up to 3, there is no chance to go back to 2. or 1. the third problem is the EGR ventil cleaned it. but not changed it. i have no idea how to fix or anything, do you have any ideas? this channel i just came up today and learned alot, gonna watch more of this wen i gonna fix my car :D thanks alot!
nice vid. where is the fuel suppy pipe for the injector?
ok no problem, let me know how you get on.
Hi great video, how do you check compression on the cylinders? i have a 17 piece compression gauge for diesel, would that work? Thanks
I will do this tomoro i have a 1.2TDI PD engine and i think my rings on the injectors are bad but 1 question... do i need to ajust something after reasembling? or just put everything back and thats it?
Hi. I have a seat Leon FR mk2 2.0tdi, Siemens injectors. I suspect the injector seals are leaking, I have replacement seals and bolts, once I have removed the injectors I am going to have them tested. However could you do a video explaining how to install them correctly. I'm under the impression that they have to be set up using a dti, while turning the cam and then setting the adjustment screw accordingly. I was hoping that with the same injectors going back in no adjustments would be required. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thankyou.
Ok, now i know how to get Those out. I'm working on a friend's 2006 Jetta, timing belt broke. It's the same engine as in this video. Can i remove the head while the engine is in the car? It's been a real PITA so far.
thanks ;)
hiya mate, quick question, im getting my camshaft changed on my 1.9 tdi, would you recommend injector seal replacement, whilst everything is out on open?
Great video, thank you!
Curious if you put these injectors back in a running tdi and if they survived the banging around when they came out?
Hey bud grest video must ask is this the same procedure for the 2l sdi caddy? Cheers
PD Pumpe Duse, it is the type of fuel system they use. You can google it
Anything on PD injector refrub, testing and installation? Those stretch bolts are expensive!
well, didn't find the tool but was talking to a mechanic who has a VW tdi engine, so I've been at his garage today stripping bits out of that to put into mine. Works ok(ish) now, got to get an air mass thingy, but also turns out his spare engine's injector is too powerful compared to my old ones, so do I recon my old one, or replace ALL FOUR with the super speedy new powerful ones? (or will that blow the engine up?) p.s. I watched it 10 times before doing the change, was a great help thanks. :)
wow so much easier on my MK3 jetta !!
