Did you found out the way or is it impossible? I have a scam token too and wish to get rid of it.
Nice and straight to the point video, thumbs up! Unfortunately this didn´t work for me. I want to hide the MATIC token but when clicking on the three dots at the right top I only have the options: ´Account details´ and ´View in asset in explorer´ no hide option?? This is only for MATIC. I can hide other tokens. What is the reason for that? I don´t have matic and don´t intend to have it

Thanks for the comment! Probably is because the chain that you are using is polygon and It's not possible to hide Matic because it's the main token. Sorry

This stupid doesn't know the difference between hide and remove. Just wasted my time..
