Tbh i been looking into this and you need to get another controller box, wheel and battery to make it faster. You could also possibly get another controller box rated for higher watts and higher speed limiter and that may bring ya up a little bit but it will kill ur battery and possibly burn ur motor out

@@electricrideblog thanks so much for the response! I'm guessing doing it through the hidden settings is something I can dig around on Google and find? I'm pretty good at stuff like this, especially with direction. I do car/home/pro audio lighting and IT. I'm sure just like yourself, we can do anything if we put out mind to it (and having some mentors and guidance along the way always helps! 😝😁) so I guess my main question is what in your experience would do me the best and be the most practical? Any benefits of one over the other? Obviously the cheapest alternative would be the program hack or cutting the wire. But would 1 give me more speed over the other? Or better battery life? If one of the "freebies" gets me close to the same result has changing out the controller or motor, I would be happy with that for now. Again I greatly appreciate your time and you are super generous. Any response to that and I'll leave you alone! Haha. @@skypallman6169 Accessing the hidden setting to remove the speed limiter is the best option, but it is not possible in every e-scooter. So when you can't do it through method 1, then unplugging the white wire on your speed limiter is a better option. Replacing the speed limiter is your last option. It is also expensive than other 2 methods.

I have a Hover-1 Renegade. The speed is limited to 18mph. It has dual 450 watt motors and I'm sure is capable of going faster. There is very little info on this scooter available. Have any idea how to remove speed limit on this one?

There are 3 ways to do it: 1- Access the hidden settings through display and increase the speed limit from 70 to 100. 2- Unplug the white wire on your speed limiter. 3- Replace your current speed limiter with a new one that has a higher speed limit. Unplug the while wire on the speed limiter or replace the speed limiter with a new one that has a higher speed limit. If you don't know how to do that, visit your nearest e-scooter shop, and ask the mechanic to do it for you.

You will need to unplug the white wire in the speed controller. It is a rectangular device with lots of wires.

How do you remove it on the 5th wheel, though?

Open the cover of your scooter's deck. You will see a rectangular device with lots of wires. That is your speed limiter. Find the white colored wire in it and unplug it. That will do the job.
