This video help me to take my key out of the lock!!! THANK YOU!!!!! You made it a piece of cake! I went to Home Depot to get help and they were too busy to do it and they said the lock was going to get ruined. So I went back home and looked for help in KZread and this video was the best! Now I know how to do it on my own!!!! Thanks!

This saved me, my kid stuck a stick in the lock and broke it off. Thanks to this vid I could pop the cylinder and push it out the front.

I kept searching for videos regarding this issue and I found Lequid's youTube video to remove the spindle. Once I got the spindle out the rest of the handle came right out. Now off to the big box store because this is the door to my garage. It has to be locked or my better half will worry herself silly. I will seek a good lock that can't be bumped. Your video helped a lot. Thanks.

@@LEARNINGCHORDS yep, I picked up a new Kwikset the type you can use your same house key as it is easy to set. Got it in and it works great. Thanks for your response.

this was great, i did not have the special tools just like his situation so his approach was perfect for me. Great advice, made sense, wonderful........

I was about to do this but I sprayed WD40 in the key hole and it came out so smooth. If WD40 doesn't work or the key is broke inside try what he is doing 👍🏽

The only thing I would say would help would maybe be at least for me use counterclockwise and clockwise instead of turning left and right

Well, I guess I will be the first comment on this video. My Kwikset plunger won't retract and unlock. I have the door open and I have removed the inside handle. I can use my key to operate the lock but it doesn't unlock. I have put it all back together and I can turn the lock but it won't let the plunger retract. The key on the outside turns full range, but something inside is not lining up enough to let the plunger retract. It is stuck and I can't close the door fully because the plunger won't retract. Mine won't come out so I can get my screwdrivers in the spots you are picking at. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. I just want to go buy a replacement today, but I can't get the old knob out because the door won't unlock.

How about links to the other video about resetting springs you refer to in about 3 or 4 of your videos. I’ve looked n can’t find.
