Thanks for this video. Got 25 years of dust out of the inside of the gauge cluster in like 30 minutes

Great video I appreciate it I've got a 2000 Saleen SC, my boost gauge is not working and from my research you have to pull the cluster out to get to the bolts underneath the dash, so now I know all I need to know thank you.

Just curious and watched this. Thanks! It’s a lot less complicated than I thought it was. For some reason I thought you had to take the dash off and lift it out lol

hello once again fellow terminator owner! awesome how to video :) i also have some dust inside my gauge cluster... i will def follow your instructions. to follow up on the help that i asked a few weeks ago... it was indeed the oil cooler system that needed to be repaired. a mustang specialist shop that i go through was able to help me out with locating the part #2P326A642AA. i very happy to say its the shop and i should have it back shortly. thank you very much for your help as well. keep these videos coming my friend :D

Great video. Might add a note of caution: "if you drive the car without the cluster your alternator might not charge the battery". In a 1998 Cobra this is the case. You will need a tow as a jump will not work. Might also need a reset of the cluster and that is a pita.

I have problems with all my gauges not showing the correct settings. Every one of them is messed up except the tach and oil pressure gauge. I’m going to attempt to clean the connections and grounds and do some volt meter tests but other than that I may have to ship it out to get it fixed.

Hi sr,how can I get the wiring connection?I mean I need to know all positives and negatives to make it work with the computer, is for a simulator.

The cluster can be broken down more when removed, but I haven’t taken it apart more. I believe they sell the odometers so it should be able to be swapped out

Hey man could you make a video on how to take apart the center console for the hand brake because when I for my car there were too nuts or bolts missing to hold the hand. brake down. it works it's just too bolts.or nuts missing that aren't keep it stationary

Yeah, I'll try to make a on that. For now, check out my clutch replacement videos that show you how to remove the shift knob and shift bezel. From there just remove the two screws where the console meets the shifter area, as well as some screws inside the center console and that's it

Sorry to hear that. I can only imagine it’s the board itself. Maybe you could manually place it back to zero, disconnect the battery for awhile, then give it a try.

Danny Johnson it goes to zero when I turn the car off then right back to 40 when I start it. Someone said it could be it wasn’t programmed for the change of gears to 373. Or a bad vss.

Chris Walsh I would lean towards the speed sensor/abs sensor. The gear ratio should work the entire time but just be off

It's a cluster from a 95 svt cobra I believe

My 04 cobra has a different cluster guages are white but the rings around the gauges are silver

Danny, I just purchased a 2003 Cobra and the cluster doesn't light up while everything else in the dash does. The dimmer switch works on the mileage but not the back lighting. Where do I start troubleshooting? Fuses? Then what?

Michael Litton it is most likely the ballast for the gauges. I have a spare cluster i’ll be making a video on, but don’t know when. Remove the cluster as shown in this video, then take the back side off and you’ll find the “inverter.” Speedhut sells just the inverter for about $20.

Mach 2.3 You’ll need to disable the PATS (passive anti theft system). I put a spare cobra gauge cluster in my mach 1 and it will start, idle for 2 seconds, then shut off and the THEFT light blinks. That’s as far as i’ve gotten

All you have to do to make any cluster work is to pull the white plastic back plate off and swap your GT circuit board into the cobra, cluster. Very simple procedure and works great. No problems whatsoever.

Hey bro have you ever taken off the actually from plastic glass off the gauge it self? Seeing if you know any good ways i ruined one already by heating one area hi just a bit to much with a heat gun lol, but, I know this might sound stupid but I don’t thinks they used epoxy to seal the gauge plexiglass. Seems like they used melted plastic truthfully, heat work great, today I pulled out the Dremel that works but need a smaller thinker cutting disk, it works but ya, ina has head gun and drem I think, I have one of those very bids fancy autometer lunar gauges and I ordered upr amazing polished billet aluminum overlays that I think will looks nicer then the ones that came with it the plastic junk. So the instructions says has the drem just wanted to see if maybe you have done this before, I have every type of jb weld for this job so let hope this works lolll

Hey man, can you swap the cluster from the terminator to a GT? Cause I heard you won't be able to start the car. Im looking to buy one but Im not sure about the modification I need to do to make it work.

armando ocampo I am going to say no because I just bought a spare one from someone with a GT who said that it would not work. There might be a write up on the forum showing how to convert it, but I believe it's different because of the reverse glow gauges

Scrun Johnson well they just say I need to disable the pats on my car with my tunner to be able to start it. I don't know if it's the same wiring as a gt though, cause it doesn't have a boost gauge.

armando ocampo yeah, the boost gauge just has a barb coming out the back, so you just wouldn't hook anything up there- but whether the other connectors work or not I'm not sure.

If that’s all you want to do, it should work. It just has all the gold screws that go around it

There is a chip in the gauge cluster that has to match the Car’s key. You’ll need to move the chip onto the new cluster from the old one. You’ll have to search for a write up on it

Daniel Lopez You’ll want to ask ford if they can delete the Pats, and if so have the car there for the install since it won’t start at home. Your better bet is to get a SCT tuner and have a custom tune written by a local dyno shop to turn off Pats and then change the cluster whenever you want
