Toyota obviously don't want this panel to fall off. It has about ten push in clips. To get it out I removed the auxilliary switch blanks beside the rear heated window switch and threaded through a long cable tie (zip tie) to use as a handle to grip the panel with. Gentle but strong pulling pulled it straight out.

Could you make a video on how to remove the little panel beneath it where the cigarette lighter is please?

Toyota obviously don't want this panel to fall off. It has about ten push in clips. To get it out I removed the auxilliary switch blanks beside the rear heated window switch and threaded through a long cable tie (zip tie) to use as a handle to grip the panel with. Gentle but strong pulling pulled it straight out.

Do you have a video on how to remove the trimming on the cigarette lighter? Thanks

It just clips out. Pretty much like the panel he removed.

Anyone ever changed out the fresh/recycled air cables? Looks like one wire is jamming so I'll most.likely.have to remove the dash or whole front section...any advice would be appreciated.

How about the one underneath the center panel where the 12v sockets are? How do you remove that panel?

The airflow dials on mine are extremely hard to get off. is there a trick to getting them off?

Surprise them - early in the morning - creep up on them and give them a surprise ! Seriously - s sharp pull seems to work better than a slow pull.

Did you get them off eventually? I was thinking of sitting the car in the sun or using a hair dryer to hear the plastic obviously to expand the plastic not to get it too hot. Then try pull off. But a plastic wedge tool and prying up each side should work.

This will be useful as my globe has blown behind the three knobs for climate control, does anybody know what type of globe so I can purchase for 2005 SR5 Hilux ute?
